Tankwa Tented Camp offer you 5 On Suite Cabins, 13 Permanent Tents with bedding and communal showers and toilets. Spyker a single caravan with bedding. A secluded campsite (Climax) far from anybody or anything. Five campsites at the camp.
In Room Facilities:For groups we can offer a campsite with ample camping space and communal ablutions. Limited electricity is supplied (good for cellphone chargers). We run from a solar power system, so only cellphone charger points in the rooms.
Area Information:A Tented camp and campsite almost halfway between Ceres and Calvinia in the Tankwa karoo.
Situated in the 3200Ha Stonehenge Nature Reserve, the camp borders the Tankwa National Park on two sides. The Tankwa river, normally dry, except after heavy rains, runs through the farm.
With the annual rainfall in the area of about 20mm, it is the driest part of South Africa and perhaps the least populated area in SA. Vegatation is mostly Gannabush on the low lying areas. Hoodia, (also known as Gharp) grows naturally on the property.

Uniquely incredible! This is my 4th time there now and can't wait to go back again and again.
The Karoo in all splendour! What a welcome by the Hosts and the Bar is something to experience and then the accommodation! Enjoyed the silence and the stars!
Visiting the Tankwa and Tented camp is an amazing one of a kind experiences not to be missed.
TTC has become our home when we want to just get away from it all. The staff are super friendly, and always looking for small ways to make your trip more enjoyable. Rustic but affordable and if you love the lifestyle, this is the place!!
If you are looking for something great, rustic, eclectic with Karoo hospitality look no further, Deon and his team will make the drive worth your while. best little pub and "Boer Kitchen" /dining room I've seen in a long time.

Went with my wife on the bikes. Very friendly people, clean tents, great facility, excellent food and they have petrol if you need.
