Accommodation comprises 3 well-appointed studios’, each with an en-suite bathroom. Warm relaxing décor in shades of Dove Grey, Blue, and Warm red, are completed by comfortable beds with crisp percale linen. Each room is fully serviced and stocked with tea, coffee, and biscuits. Towels and soap are supply. Other in-room amenities include Flat-screen TV with DStv channels and HOT SPOT Internet access.
Sumptuous breakfasts are served. The winter chill is covered with heating systems and Electric blankets, one can enjoy the Mountain view from the unit’s, back portico, while just listen to the birds or have a barbeque. Sunrise over the beautiful garden, paint you holiday painting with rainbow colours. Secure parking is provided.
Conversely, a 15-minute walk takes one to the Clarens Dam, situated in the beautiful sandstone mountain. This Conservation park is ideal for bird watching and fishing. Andre and Rina are happy to advise the ridge Clarens Nature and history. Not to miss the dinosaur history in Golden gate and cultural tours of Clarens and surrounding areas. The outdoor activities and daily road trips.

Area Information:The small town of Clarens is situated at the foothill of its attractive feature, the Maloti Mountain. It offers beautiful natural surroundings of many things, such as another of its famous mountains, the
Rooiberge. Pristine dams, rivers and streams that are ideal for fly fishing and the best Trout fishing spots in South Africa (SA) and great grade 3 and 4 water rapids when white water river rafting in the Ash River.
While the town’s great, open space of land, a non-existent luxury in the bigger cities is a chance to be out in the fresh air.

Wonderful accommodation with a beautiful view of the mountains. Andre and Rina was the most friendly, helpful and welcoming hosts. The cottage had everything we needed and was excellent value for money.

What lovely hosts Rina and Andre are! We had such a lovely stay and were so taken with all the little extras that they had laid out for us (like sherry upon arrival, the setup of a camp cot for our daughter, breakfast vouchers, etc.). Love the mountains for a nice hike.
A variety of restaurants and shops to explore.
We love exploring Golden Gate, wondering through the shops in the Town and visiting our favourite Clarens Brewery. We enjoy supporting the smaller farm restaurants in the area. Highland Brew was a lovely new addition to this trip.
Variety
Main roads to town are recommended for daylight use only. Small town atmosphere but with a wide variety of activities and stores. The annual Titanic Challenge Trail Run was my main attraction - stunning views!
Everything....food, quality of shops...felt safe...clean...friendly people....
Love all the shops and restaurants there is. Surrounded by mountains. Perfect breakaway for winter or summer.

Village atmosphere & the beautiful mountains
Small, quaint, but very lively little town with spectacular views all around. Hiking is a must and can be done on the edge of town. We stayed at Views and the hiking trail was on our back door. Beautiful, beautiful little town offering great food, culture, entertainment and beautiful hiking trails.
