Reviews
We stayed for one night in the Pezulu Tree House Game Lodge and it was great. The people were very friendly and the three houses were clean and beautiful! It was a nice experience to be able to participate. The diner and breakfast was good. The road to the Three House was adventurous!
Wow, this was really a magical experience! The tree houses are beautiful and spacious!
(WiFi was not working so make sure you have your administration done)
Great staff!
We were looking for a safari which offered a stay in a tree house and Pezulu fit the bill perfectly for us. The tree houses were all very individual and well appointed considering you are in the middle of the bush. The linen and towels were fresh and clean and the houses even had tea and coffee making facilities and hair dryers! One of the most amazing features about this accommodation is being completely surrounded by nature - we had giraffes and zebra walking past and monkeys on the veranda. The outside bathroom was also great fun (there was one inside as well!). Our only observation was that the rooms
got quite warm and some additional ventilation would be necessary in the hot season.
The staff at Pezulu were very friendly and attentive. A special shout out to Chris, (who went out of his way to look after us and fulfil every request) and Sandy, who was so supportive and helpful when we arrived without bags (which the airline had left in Johannesburg). We also really enjoyed our ‘bush walk’ with Derek.
The food was home cooked and tasty (although a bit disappointing to have pork chops on 2 out of the 3 nights we were there!). Also, it would be nice to have a little more time to chat between courses. At times it felt like we were being a bit rushed through dinner. Overall it was a delightful experience and I would thoroughly recommend Pezulu.
What an amazing weekend!! Wonderful staff!!
I actually enjoyed the road leading into the Lodge, it gave you the feeling of 4X4 but still save enough for most vehicles.
Teak 2 was a disappointment, but we were lucky enough to upgrade to Maroela which was absolutely fantastic.
It had the outside shower, the beautiful bath and enough space to sleep 9 people. The balcony was great, we had sundowners while watching the sun setting behind the beautiful mountain.
The unit was clean and very well looked after. The coffee in the rooms are disgusting, so if you love your morning coffee I suggest you pack your own.
We were greeted by the Giraffes and Zebras strolling past the tree house in the mornings. Of course the little cheeky monkeys also came and said hallo.
Breakfast was great as well, bacon, eggs, toast or yogurt, cereal and muffins.
Dinner was served in the boma – you have your own little table set around the boma fire – very social – and the food was great.
In the evenings we socialized with the other guests at the bar and met some amazing people.
Honestly – everyone from the guard greeting you at the main gate to the gardener doing his rounds were very friendly!
I will definitely book again – this time I’ll make sure to book Maroela from the start!
Perfect setting, great hosts, unique experience. Just need to sort out the booking so you get the tree house you want.
A quirky tree house with fantastic views and enjoyed our very own game viewing from our balcony including some very cute visitors on our balcony. It is a shame that the accommodation is not maintained and simple maintenance would go a long way. The evening meal was very nice unfortunately the breakfast was extremely basic and when asked how we would like our eggs my partner chose not to have eggs and then ended up with no cooked breakfast at all.(the cooked breakfast was eggs and bacon )
Very beautiful accommodation, very friendly, it was wonderful.
It was just perfect.
Everything was very fantastic.
Nothing else to say than you should try.
Very beautiful treehouses, extraordinary! Beautiful surroundings. Very pleasant staff, great food and atmosphere. Many animals around. Once in a lifetime experience!
For sure! We had an exellent stay! Our kids were amassed!

Hoedspruit Reviews
Beautiful and Clean, pity a place like Mali Mali can upset a persons Holiday... an event that was meant to be legendary! Mali Mali is not as per there website... they manipulate the internet!
The nature.
Morokologa game reserve, we spend our Christmas at the camp and we had a beautiful game drive and morning walks with my grandmother. Played games and reconnected as a family.
Most of Gold cabins- the weather - the sound of the birds-
Since we have family and old colleagues in Hoedspruit we enjoy everything. Love going to Hoedspruit for a weekend break away.
The quietness.
It’s a beautiful town which is easily accessible and has all the convenient shopping around the lodges nearby and one is able to do various activities around the area.
Privacy!
The town is very small yet beautiful and neat. It has lots of tourist attractions and good place to visit, just to unwind!
Endangered Species Centre.
