The beach, shops, and other restaurants are all 5 minutes walking distance.

Area Information:

Wilderness, embraced by the Outeniqua mountains on the one side and the Indian Ocean on the other side, is one of the most beautiful places in the country with 18 km of white beach stretching out. The weather is superb, great for outdoor activities. Wilderness is 15 minutes from George, 46 km from Knysna, short distance to Mosselbay, Sedgefield, and Klein-Karoo. Yet there is no reason to go anywhere else before you haven't explored Wilderness and the direct environment in full. A visit to the Map of Africa and to the 800-year-old Yellowwood tree is a must.

Property Facilities:

Allocated open parking next to the building. Only 2 guests per room. Pomodoro’s Restaurant offers an assortment of tasty meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Free Wi-Fi.

Attractions:

Activities such as hiking, biking, absailing, paragliding, canoeing, horseriding, hiking, birdwatching - all is done in Wilderness. Do not miss the famous Saturday Oats market and George market, the Friday night market in Wilderness. Or, you can tee off at one of the world-class golf courses and explore Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, and maybe even try shark cage diving at Mossel Bay!! You can look forward to ending your trip with a visit to an ostrich farm and the Cango Caves in Oudtshoorn...

I was greeted with a warm welcome, everyone was really friendly and helpful.

I arrived 2 hours before check in and they were very accommodating and quickly sorted the room out so that I can check in.

Walking distance from fantastic restaurants the spar and some of South Africa's most beautiful beaches.

Stunning room with great amenities , really comfortable bed and the most amazing deck leading out of my room over looking the beautiful Wilderness Village.

I would highly recommend the Old Post office to anyone wanting to visit Wilderness.

I wish I could've stayed longer.

Wilderness offers a wide variety of activities for all ages with an abundance of hiking trails, canoe offerings and paragliding available, whilst being surrounded by some of the most pristine beaches our country has to offer. If you love nature and adventure, Wilderness is your playground. For daytrips, you have the option of visiting neighbouring areas including George, Sedgefield, Knysna and Plettenberg. This is definitely a home away from home.
