Cello Cottage and the Clarinet are two separate units accommodating two and four guests respectively. The buildings are set on a 3000m2 stand and enjoy beautiful gardens with abundant bird-life as well as magnificent mountain views.
The Clarinet has its own entrance via a private driveway and balcony with braai. The unit enjoys spectacular views of Mount Horeb. It consists of a queen bed, couch, flat-screen TV with 90 DSTV channels, a kitchen, small dining area and en-suite bathroom with a shower. The Clarinet can accommodate up to two guests.
Cello Cottage is a stylish, sunny, secure, and cozy two bedroom, two bathroom cottage set behind the main house, with open-plan kitchen and lounge, open and enclosed patio dining areas boasting serene spectacular mountain views, off-street parking. ADSL, DSTV, and built-in braai. Cello Cottage can take up to four guests.
Secure off-street parking is provided for all guests.
In Room Facilities:Hairdryers; TV with 90 DSTV channels in both the Clarinet and Cello cottage; electric blankets; bathroom amenities; heaters in bedrooms and bathrooms; cutlery; crockery, linen; toilet paper; towels; kettle; toaster; fridge; microwave; and gas hob with electric oven in all units. Cello Cottage also offers a washing machine and dish washer.
Area Information:Clarens is situated 35km from Bethlehem in the Eastern Free State and is easily accessible from Gauteng, KZN and Bloemfontein.

Clarens on Collett and the Clarinet is within walking distance of the town square, with its many interesting art galleries and restaurants that will satisfy every palate; as well as quaint shops that offer everything from clothing and accessories to unique ornaments; beauty spas; delicacies; interior décor and bric a brac.
WIFI, Hairdryers, Braai facilities and comfortable outdoor furniture are provided for all units. Secure off-street parking is provided. Units are serviced on request at an additional cost. We reserve the right to bill for breakages.
Attractions:White water rafting and other adrenaline sports are offered. Some attractions in the vicinity include the spectacular Golden Gate National Park (20km); mountainous Lesotho (42km to Caledonspoort border post) and the majestic Northern Drakensburg with the world-renowned Amphitheatre (105 km to Oliviershoek pass). The Lesotho Highlands Water Project tunnel outflow is 10km from Clarens on the Bethlehem road.

On our way to Clarens we encountered some hurdles but when we got into our room, our stresses just melted away. The room was so welcoming and cozy. The décor was absolutely stunning. We loved the electric blankets especially in the chilly nights. It was an absolute delight. Will definitely be back.

Love the mountains for a nice hike.
A variety of restaurants and shops to explore.
We love exploring Golden Gate, wondering through the shops in the Town and visiting our favourite Clarens Brewery. We enjoy supporting the smaller farm restaurants in the area. Highland Brew was a lovely new addition to this trip.
Variety
Main roads to town are recommended for daylight use only. Small town atmosphere but with a wide variety of activities and stores. The annual Titanic Challenge Trail Run was my main attraction - stunning views!

Love all the shops and restaurants there is. Surrounded by mountains. Perfect breakaway for winter or summer.

Small, quaint, but very lively little town with spectacular views all around. Hiking is a must and can be done on the edge of town. We stayed at Views and the hiking trail was on our back door. Beautiful, beautiful little town offering great food, culture, entertainment and beautiful hiking trails.
