Reviews
The accommodation was pristine and the surroundings were beautiful. It was lovely to sit and listen to the sounds of nature and just relax. The only thing was that the dam was not full for the kids to swim but I know that there were issues with filling it up.
What magnificent place! The only thing I have to be sorry about is that we didn't stay longer.
A serene and private getaway, a breathe of fresh air and most of a beautiful farm house experience.

We and our dachshund children had an amazing stay at Buffalo Thorn where we were surrounded by breathtaking nature with gorgeous views from the cottage. The walking trails were stunningly beautiful and so much fun. We re-established our connection with mother nature and came to once again feel at peace with nature and with ourselves. The soul craves for places like Kokopelli farm to come and be still in yourself and let mother nature heal, rejuvenate and replenish your heart, mind, body and soul. We can't wait for our next visit. PS. we received a warm welcome and brilliant hospitality from the hosts.
What an absolute gem 👌 We highly recommend Buffalo Thorn for a breakaway from the city, even the drive was lovely. Very neat, cosy and private with spectacular views from every window and a lekker braai area under the stars. We had loads of fun exploring the kloof and cooling off in the farm dam. Can’t wait to return!!!
Buffalo thorn is truly a magnificent place. We enjoyed the early walks and all the little creatures we saw- best of all was cooling off at reservoir after long walk and sundowners too at reservoir. Being off the grid was the best thing of all; peace and quiet family time, rest and share stories at night around a fire. Thanks to Allan and Wales for great hospitality.
We had an awesome stay - didn't want to go home. The place to go if you want to relax in peace and quiet.

Magaliesburg Reviews
Magaliesberg is great to get close to local Joburg nature, relax and rejuvenate from daily stresses of city life and work.
It's is a beautiful place and a short travelling distance from Johannesburg or Pretoria.
The beauty and tranquillity of the area.
scenery peaceful quiet time to get away especially if you a couple n need a break from the hasel and busel
Mountains and Hikes are spectacular
Close, with quiet places to stay as well as the basic ammenities.
Beautiful magical, with so much to do.
Going to the upside-down house
Travel by day prevents being surprised by potholes, so pack in some patience when heading this way. Magaliesburg's Little Roadhouse had friendly service and fabulous slap chips. The Route 66 Events held at Mt Grace Hotel were most enjoyable. Looking forward to our next visit.
