What a beautiful tranquil resort, in the heart of a Ferox forest. We were a group consisting of three families that stayed in three separate units (unit 5, 6 and 7) that is tucked away together linked by a spacious garden towards the side of the resort. The units are situated on top of a dune, looking down directly onto the beach that is a mere 15 meters away with the vast ocean in the background. A continues see breeze kept the heat at bay while ensuring no mosquito's are present. Friendly host and staff that service the units daily made the stay extra special. Driving on the sand is a must, especially to the beautiful King Pools where snorkeling is the in activity during low tide and lunch at the nearby local restaurant the thing to do. You need a 4x4 to get around, a boat or Kayak will make your stay even more unforgettable. I will recommend Park Chidenguele Lodge any time to the adventurous and lazy tourist.

Park Chidenguele Lodge is a beautiful part of Mozambique about 80km NE of Xai Xai that provides tranquility and unspoilt beauty for the holiday maker that wants a disconnect from the usual rat race. Although 4x4 is required which might limit the destination for some, it is also the reason that you get the benefit of a societal break and embrace a more pristine experience that is the reason for an African Getaway.
The units were serviced daily and all required amenities were available including washing and ICE (which is a commodity). Many opportunities to book deep sea fishing were available or make friends with the fortunate ones that have brought their own boats, kayak fishing (where guys have been catching massive Kuta and Dorado) and Jetski's. Our Hosts Anita and Fred who manage the lodge were easy going and absolutely accommodating.

There is a special kind of feeling and release you get when you holiday in Mozambique, and there are numerous experiences offered in virtually any destination you find yourself in. Embrace the country and its people and explore it with open eyes and respect, so that you can have the same feeling every time you go.

Perfect accommodation with Daniel to assistance made it a real holiday, Location on top of the sand bank made it perfect with a sea breeze cooling you down most of the time. One of the few places one can drive on the beach for 16km need a 4x4. With a double reef 10km left on beach made it awesome for the kids on low tide and snorkeling was not too bad either. Would stay few days longer 7 days was too short.
