Our spacious garden rooms are ideal for a relaxed, country-style wildlife experience or a family nature getaway. Guests of all ages are welcome. All units have en-suite bathrooms with shower facilities, and have their own patio and private entrance. Breakfast is included. There are no self-catering facilities in The Family Suites. Dinner is available on request. Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms.
Guests can relax and experience authentic South African hospitality whilst enjoying nature, wildlife and the most spectacular rural scenery. We are located on the same property as Tenikwa Wildlife Rehabilitation and Awareness Centre, on 46 hectares of indigenous Tsitsikamma Forest and Cape Floral Fynbos. Guests who stay on-site receive a special discount for tours and activities at the centre.
Check in times are from 14:00 until 17:00 and check out times are from 07:30 until 10:00. As we are a licenced facility, we request that guests do not consume their own alcohol when staying in the units.
Please note:
For security reasons our main gate closes at 18h00 and will re-open at 07h00. Guests will be provided with a gate remote which will allow access in and out of the property afterhours.

Beautiful and authentic place. Animals are all around, it's great for kids! The diner and breakfast are really good ! and we had authentic south African meals.

What an incredible experience we had Tenikwa! Our room at The Lodge,had tasteful decor,a comfy bed and led off to a relaxing communal lounge area with outside patio. Our hosts Mandy and Len were friendly and welcoming and paid special attention to my gluten free request going above and beyond with tasty treats. The bush kitchen served us hearty delicious breakfasts and suppers where you can sit overlooking the wildlife and cheetahs enclosure. The forest walk with picnic is a must and Cam our guide had many interesting stories about the local flora and fauna. My favourite was meeting all the animals especially the Leopard,Cheetah and Lions. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back!
Loved that we could hear the lions from our room, the view of cheetahs from the room was wonderful. Definitely recommend a wildlife tour, their guides are knowledgeable and friendly. Beds are comfortable, showers have instant heat, overall a good experience.
