The lodge overlooks the natural fynbos area of our 3,000h farm with the Cederberg Wilderness Reserve beyond. There’s a range of walking and mountain bike trails right from the lodge. Enjoy trails through the fynbos, river valleys, citrus orchards, vineyards and mountains.

Cederberg Ridge is very easy to get to. (See our downloadable directions below.) It lies 5km from the town of Clanwilliam at the foothills of the Cederberg Mountains. It takes an easy 2½ hours from Cape Town or the Winelands (tar road all the way until our drive-way).

Cederberg Ridge offers various activities and guided tours apart from its own guided walking trails, both on our own farm, which backs onto the Wilderness Reserve, and in the Reserve. Other tours include a full-day excursion into the High Cederberg (Stadsaal and Cederberg Cellars) every few days; a guided rock art excursion to Sevilla and other sites and guided visits to a Rooibos tea farm. We include lunch at Muisbosskerm as part of a guided excursion to the West Coast which we do every few days in the summer months.
