This Tuscan-styled family home was converted into a guest house in early 2018, offering breathtaking views of the Kleinrivier Mountains perched on a hillside in the Stanford Valley. Facing north, it gets plenty of African sunshine during all seasons and is surrounded by a pristine fynbos reserve featuring indigenous flora unique to the Overberg region.
You’ll feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of modern life, yet you’re only a 15-minute drive from the historic village of Stanford. Here, you can enjoy biking and walking trails, wine farms, a cheese factory, regular farmers' markets, breweries, gin distilleries, fine restaurants, and kilometers of beautiful beaches. The estate is also just 30 minutes from Hermanus, the whale-watching capital of South Africa, which offers a variety of restaurants, cafes, shops, entertainment, and activities.
Felicita Country Lodge offers two booking options to cater to various leisure styles. You can book individual suites, each accommodating 2 guests, with rates that include a continental breakfast. And for larger groups, there is the option to book the 6-suite combo, accommodating up to 12 guests. This ensures more privacy during your stay, not sharing the facilities with other guests. Continental breakfast for this option will be an additional charge upon request.
A warm welcome and assistance throughout your stay are offered by the discreet host, while all the amenities and common areas are maintained by the dedicated staff, ensuring the most comfortable stay.
You are invited to unwind in the main hall, where large, plush couches surround a charming medieval fireplace, perfect for cozy gatherings or simply enjoying a quiet evening. For entertainment, challenge your friends to a friendly game at the pool table or kick back and indulge in some relaxing Netflix time. Prepare a refreshing drink at the bar (please note, the bar is not stocked or licensed) and explore your culinary talents in the spacious, fully equipped communal kitchen. The terrace offers a “braai” and a wood-fired pizza oven. Pool access from the terrace comes with breathtaking panoramic views and sun-soaking loungers. Enjoy the sounds of nature—the birds, the waves, and even the distant lion roars from the neighboring big cat sanctuary, Panthera Africa.
Felicita is committed to sustainability; the guest house operates off the national electricity grid, relying entirely on solar and gas power. This allows you to enjoy your stay without concerns about load shedding but we kindly ask that you conserve energy during your time with us. We source our water from a natural spring, filtered without chemicals, ensuring the health of our local environment. We trust that our guests will respect and appreciate this dedication.

Lovely stay with amazing views! Thoroughly stocked house with everything you need.
Stunning setting. The house has everything you need for a great getaway. Great entertainment atmosphere as well as the relaxation provided by the surrounding views and beautiful pool. Hosts are extremely helpful to the guests needs. The pizza oven adds such a nice touch for large family lunches. I highly recommend this accommodation and will definitely be back again.
