Each of our 8 bedrooms are unique. Each bedroom has been individually fitted with bespoke furniture and decorated with irreplaceable artwork.
All of our rooms have en suite bathrooms, plush towels and designer bathroom products.

Great Stay
A thoroughly enjoyable stay in modern open plan accommodation and an exceptional location for seeing Cape Town and the wonderful Western Province. Alice and Thomas were most accommodating and great company, as well as providing excellent and varied breakfasts oozed by Thomas. They were not only concerned with making our stay comfortable but also interested in our daily plans and giving advice and suggestions.
Alice and Thomas are also supported by excellent staff and the rooms are spacious and kept immaculately clean. There is off road parking. There are great views from the open plan lounge area and balcony of Hout Bay itself, the harbour and across the bay to Chapmans Peak Drive. An ideal location for a wonderful stay in the Cape, especially if you are looking for a quieter and authentic location. We will be back!!!
This was homely and just what we wanted, everything under one roof.. excellent host as well
We booked in for 2 nights and it was amazing, The guest house is centrally situated and there is lots to do in close proximity. The Hosts made you feel so welcome upon arrival, the room was comfortable, the property is beautiful and well looked after. Thanks Thomas, your breakfasts were amazing. We will definitely be back.
It was really a great experience. Alice and Thomas were very good hosts and shout out to Thaps who made sure we settled in very well and our rooms were well looked after. I would recommend Hout and About to everyone who to looks to travel to cape town. Thank you very much 👌🙏

Hout and About is a beautiful and modern guest house with stunning views of the ocean and surrounding mountains. The room was perfect and we loved the big bed and views out of the window. Being our wedding weekend, we were spoiled by the hosts who left champagne in the room and made delicious breakfast for us. I can't recommend it highly enough - thank you Thomas & Alice!

Beautiful place
Vibrant night life. Big variety of restaurants and food. Clean beaches and market has a big variety of items. Great way te spend a summers day. Packing is limited though so getting there early is key.
