The BeachFront villa ‘Die Duyker’ with stunning, endless ocean views is situated at the Pearl Bay Beach at Yzerfontein with direct access to the beach and views on Table Mountain : on the right side, you’ll find the beginning of the 16 mile beach (the longest stretch of white sandy beach in South-Africa) ending up in full nature at the West Coast National Park. In front of the villa you’ll see in the distance Dassen Eiland, a nature reserve with seabird colonies and to the left you can enjoy more than 10 miles white sandy beaches of the Grotto Bay Coastal and Nature Reserve, a part of the Cape West Coast Biosphere Reserve (UNESCO protected 37.800km²).

You enter the villa through a large patio with the impressive ‘Die Duyker’ statue, the symbol for the villa. Die Duyker (the diver in Afrikaans by Victor Jansen), plunging in the endless ocean in front the villa, evokes that great feeling of liberty, of letting-go the villa offers you once you open the door! The central entry leads you to a +100m² living space with exceptional views on Yzerfonteins’ Pearl Bay Beach, Dassen Eiland and the Atlantic ocean where dolphins and wales pass. The 17! folding windows in the living space give access to the 70m² terrace, directly at the white sand beach. The open plan kitchen is fully-fitted Bosch-Whirlpool (large gas stove, 3 ovens, LG 3-doors smart Fridge with ice/cold water dispenser), a breakfast-bar island and next to it a dining room seating 8 people and a spacious lounge (DSTV-Flatscreen - WiFi) with an open (gas) fireplace serving both spaces. Adjacent to the kitchen there is a double-sink scullery with Bosch dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.
Further downstairs you’ll find a first en-suite bedroom (king-size bed) with full ocean view and a large sun terrace. Next to this room, another en-suite bedroom with an (extra-long) king-size bed.
Upstairs, the master and guests en-suite bedrooms (both extra-long king-size beds) look on to the ocean, with a house-wide terrace, ideal for spotting pods of dolphins over morning coffee or sundowners. The master bedroom features a large dressing, a dressing console corner table, a spacious bathroom with a double-basin vanity unit, a luxury shower, a toilet and a design bath with view on the ocean.
All the rooms of the Die Duyker villa are equipped with hotel quality beds and matrasses, extra-large showers and toilets en-suite, complete with a guest toilet downstairs.
Die Duyker is a high-quality resort, decorated and furnished as well with local top-suppliers (Weylandts, Haus of Decor... ) combined with unique pieces from local craftsmen. Sabine & Frank, the owners of the ocean villa Die Duyker have 12 years successful experience in restoring, decorating and hosting houses for holidays, marriages, photo- and film/videoshootings in the Provence, South of France, with 2 luxury mas ( = 19th century restored country farmhouses), each sleeping 10 and 21 guests.
The terrace with an impressive stainless steel braai, teak deck chairs, a cosy lounge chairs corner for eight or more, a relax pool, a hanging chair and a separate seating area is the perfect place to cool off and unwind after spending time on the beach or swimming in the ocean (there is an exterior cold/hot water shower for rinsing of surfboards and wetsuits before entering the villa) .
There is also a large, remote-controlled, double garage and villa ‘Die Duyker’ offers for free 2 soft tail SCOTT MTB 29 SPARK 970 to explore the numerous trails Swartland had to offer. The villa has 7 parking spaces for guests and is on a dead-end street in the gated Ocean Villa-2 estate (only 12 villas will be built) so safe for children to explore. There is an external (beams) and internal (sensors) alarm with a 24/24 Yzerfontein Armed Response Service.
Villa Die Duyker is included with a housekeeper, who is there to ensure that your stay is effortless and laid back.
