AfriCamps at Hoedspruit in Limpopo is perfectly situated for your Lowveld safari, between Kruger National Park and the Blyde River Canyon. Our 55m2 custom-made tents are fully furnished and equipped with a private kitchen, lounge, en-suite bathroom (with private shower and toilet), two comfy bedrooms with real beds (each tent sleeps a total of five guests), a fireplace, air-conditioning and a wooden deck. There is an outdoor wood-fired hot tub next to each tent and is the perfect place to listen to the birdsongs or relax under the stars at night.

Each AfriCamps tent consists of a spacious open plan lounge area with a comfortable couch, a dining area with a solid wooden table and seating for five guests, a fully-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms that comfortably sleeps five guests, and a bathroom complete with a hot shower, flushing toilet and washbasin. Each tent has its own private outdoor wood-fired hot tub, perfect for cooling off during hot summers or warming up in winter.

Both bedrooms are furnished with an extra-length queen-size bed and have their own private entrance which allows maximum privacy. One of the bedrooms also contains a single bunk bed. Our tents are equipped with air-conditioning and an indoor fireplace. Enjoy a braai on our spacious wooden decks and take in the views from the comfortable deck loungers. Pull up the front covers and transform the tent into a large outdoor living area. Unwind and appreciate a festive family breakfast while taking in the serene natural beauty of the South African landscape.

Travel tip: For longer stays, an additional cooler box will come in very handy to keep your food and drinks cold. Ice is available to purchase from the camp.

All 11 tents surround a beautiful dam popular among guests for fishing of Carp, Bass, Bream, and Barbel. The camp has a lovely pool area for the whole family to enjoy on sunny days. Each tent has a private outdoor wood-fired hot tub that overlooks the dam and can also be used as a splash pool. Game drives to Kruger National Park depart from the camp.

Hoedspruit is perfectly located for day drives through the Panorama Route. Points to check off your list are Graskop Gorge, Pinnacle Rock, God’s Window, Wonder View, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Three Rondavels, and Blyde River Canyon. Remarkable waterfalls to include on your itinerary are Lone Creek Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Sabie Falls, Forest Falls, Mac Mac Pools, Mac Mac Falls, Berlin Falls, and Lisbon Falls. Essential to the Hoedspruit experience is a self-drive or guided game drive to Kruger National Park or private game reserves in the area like Timbavati or Klaserie.
