Come and enjoy our sumptuous ultra modern 3 bedroom apartment, newly fitted to a very high standard with all the added extras to make your holiday comfortable, relaxing and secure.
Our master suite has a Queen size bed with two side tables, built in cupboards and vanity section with lighting and all the comforts of home.
There is a compact modern shower en-suite in the master suite.
Our second bedroom also has Queen Size bed, two side tables, built in cupboards and vanity section.
Our third bedroom has 2 single beds, with side table in the middle, built in cupboards and a vanity section, so there is room for the whole family!
All our beds are wrapped in 100% cotton bedding and 100% cotton towels are available for bath time!
Our family bathroom has a free standing bath to soak away all your stress with basin and vanity.
Kitchen has washing machine and tumble drier microwave, kettle toaster fitted kitchen built in stove with extractor hood breakfast nook granite white cupboards

Enclosed patio beyond the lounge also enclosed with sliding doors and shutters for privacy and all year round enjoyment. Patio has L shaped couch with coffee table overlooking estuary. Harry our resident Hippo enjoys a spot very close to our apartment patio. Gas braai on the patio.
Outside there is another braai area that they will share with the next door unit own braai but in the same area.

Area Information:St Lucia is a settlement in the Umkhanyakude District in the KwaZulu Natal province of South Africa. The small town is mainly a hub for the greater St Lucia Wetlands Park.
Evidence of early humans living in the caves high up in the Lebombo mountains dating back 130,000 years ago has provided scientists with clues regarding the lifestyle of these prehistoric settlers.
From this cave alone some 69,000 stone implements and various human remains have been recovered. Some of these tools date back to the middle and early stone ages (130,000 to 30,000 years ago).
St. Lucia was first named in 1554 as Rio dos Medos do Ouro (alternatively Rio dos Médãos do Ouro — River of the Gold Dunes) by the survivors of the Portuguese ship ‘São Bento.’
At this stage, only the Tugela River mouth was known as St. Lucia. Later, in 1575, the Tugela River was named Tugela. On 13 December 1575, the day of the feast of Saint Lucy, Manuel Peresterello renamed the mouth area to Santa Lucia.
In 1822, St. Lucia was proclaimed by the British as a township. In 1895, St. Lucia Game Reserve, 30 km north of the town, was proclaimed.
Since 1971, St. Lucia Lake and the turtle beaches and coral reefs of Maputaland have been listed by the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance (Ramsar Convention). In December 1999, the park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The park is also home to about 1,200 Nile Crocodiles and almost 800 hippopotamuses. Hippos often roam the streets at night.
Other animals include leopards, Kudu, Black Rhinos, exotic birds and numerous invertebrates.
The Bridge Apartments are in Mckenzie Street which is the main street in St Lucia. The apartments are located along the bank of the St Lucia estuary.
It is a popular establishment and conveniently located close to an array of restaurants, pubs, supermarkets and key tourist points of interest such as South Africa's first Natural World Heritage site, the iSimangaliso Wetland Park.
St Lucia is an ideal location if you are visiting the IMFOLOZI game reserve which is the Oldest game reserve in Southern Africa.
The Bridge Apartments is often hosting to the hippos grazing around the pool at night, this is an amazing moment to many of our guests.
The Bridge private jetty located on the St Lucia Estuary is the ideal viewing deck to enjoy a glass of wine and view the roaming hippos and basking crocodiles while taking in the African sunset.

We went to St Lucia Villa Mia 5 to recover after operation. Absolutely beautiful place. Our own private braai area right at pool. Due to my medical condition we could not go out but our hosts arranged food delivery for us from nearly all the restaurants in St Lucia. One night there was guests that were intoxicated and loud. We informed our hosts who in return got the caretaker at the property in minutes and he resolved the issue. Will definitely book again. Thanks to the workers at Villa Mia that were always willing to run and get us something we needed in town. It felt like home and we will always remember our trip. Next time we will definitely visit all the attractions that St Lucia has to offer.
