A unique forest retreat, your home away from home and your neighbor's out of site. Teniqua Treetops, takes glamping to new heights, anywhere between 2 and 6 meters above the forest floor.
Take a trip back to nature in our 3-star self-catering tented forest accommodation along the famous garden route.
4 couple suites, 2 deluxe couples’ suites and 2 family suites, all over 50 meters apart from each other. Nestled either in the gorge or surrounded by the forest, each hand crafted and unique in their offering, but all allow for time in nature to rejuvenate the soul.
The closest town, shop and restaurant is 20 minutes away, so be sure to stock up with groceries on your way.
Each suite is a combination of tent, wood and glass and built in the gorge or forest on stilts ranging from two to six meters above ground giving you breath-taking views of the Karatara Gorge or the majestic Knysna Forest. Access to the treetop suite is from ground level.
Please be aware that you are going to be in the bush. This is not a manicured environment; it is part of the forest. We won’t, don’t, can’t fumigate the forest … so if you are someone who doesn’t have phobias about flora or fauna; trees, plants, birds, wild animals, insects, spiders, snakes, butterflies, moths, tame animals …… Teniqua Treetops is the holiday destination for you.
In Room Facilities:The kitchens have a fridge, microwave, toaster and gas stove top, with crockery and cutlery to comfortably see you through the nights.
A Weber braai is available, bring your own charcoal and firelighters or purchase onsite. No wood allowed in the Weber as this is a fire risk in the forest.

The suites are no longer serviced daily, guest staying over a 3 day period will have their linen and towels refreshed on the 3rd day.
Guest amenities include body wash, shampoo, conditioner, bath salts and bubble bath, not forgetting hand wash and moisturizer.
For guest’s safety and peace of mind each suite now includes hand sanitizer and surface disinfectant.
Bath towels and swimming towels are provided.
Each suite has a tea and coffee station which is filled prior to arrival, replenishment packs can be requested from reception if needed.
All suites offer in-room safes.
The suites have air conditioners and all beds are fitted with electric blankets.
The suites have emergency buttons, fire hydrants, fire blankets and smoke detectors.
All suites have free Wi-Fi available.
We are 20km's outside Sedgefield, along the Garden Route. 5 km's from SANparks Nature Reserve, 35km's from George and 30km's from Knysna.
Property Facilities:Our on-site facilities include a licensed bar, petting zoo, 2 forest walks and a river trail giving guests access to the Karatara river and rock pools.
The entertainment area offers; a large pool, small splash pool, Foosball, Pool table and DSTV.
Attractions:The closest town to us is Sedgefield, which has large beaches, a fantastic Saturday morning market, restaurants and paragliding. There are a wide variety of activities along the Garden Route, from horse-riding to quad biking, canoeing and sailing the options are endless. A short trip further along the Garden Route allows you to explore The Knysna Elephant Park, Radical Raptors, and the Wolf Sanctuary.

Enjoyed everything, the slow pace, nature, canoeing on the lake. The stay at Lake Pleasant was awesome! Will definitely return for a longer stay.
It a cool place and not busy and not far from N2.
