Welcome to Soutbos & Janfrederik located in Cape l'Agulhas, Western Cape.
At Soutbos & Janfrederik we offer accommodation in two separate self-catering units, situated in the small coastal town of Cape l'Agulhas at the most southern tip of Africa.
The property is a 5-minute walk from Cape l'Agulhas Lighthouse and the Agulhas National Park, 1.7 km from the southernmost tip of Africa and boasts spectacular views of the ocean and lighthouse. A range of activities are offered in the area, such as cycling and fishing.
Our Soutbos and Janfrederik self-catering units, each with its own private entrance on 2 different levels in a freestanding residence, comprises of the following:
Soutbos is on street level and boasts with 180 degree views of the ocean. This is a 3 bedroom - 2 bathroom unit that can accommodate up to 6 guests in total. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has 2 single beds and the third bedroom a double bed. The second bathroom is fitted with a shower & bathtub. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, stove and oven, microwave, cutlery and crockery, and other basic kitchen utensils. Two living areas, one fitted with a fireplace and the second a TV with DSTV. The balcony with its 180 degree view of the lighthouse and ocean, is fitted with a braai fireplace.
Janfrederik is situated on the lower level and is accessed via 2 sets of stairs. This unit has limited views of the ocean. This is also a 3 bedroom - 2 bathroom unit which can accommodate 8 guests in total. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom. The second and third bedrooms are both furnished with 3 single beds each. The second bathroom is also fitted with a shower. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, small stove and oven, microwave, cutlery and crockery and other basic kitchen equipment. Other facilities include a TV with DSTV an open covered patio and outdoors braai area.

This house is a gem. It offers everything you need.
Just a pity that you are not allowed to use the dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. But not even that could take away the joy of staying in the house.
We booked into Soutbos in AGULHAS for 3 nights together with my 2wo sisters. From the moment we walked through the front door we were pleasantly surprised. The house is beautifully designed and the interior charming. The kitchen was well equipped .The single most striking feature is the magnificent 180 degree seaview from the floor to wall front windows. This included the Lighthouse. The accomodation also included a separate TV lounge which we did not use. All in all it was a fabulous weekend and I recommend a visit to Soutbos.
