We offer casual self-catering accommodation set in private indigenous gardens and lawns that lead to the natural forest. Paths from the gardens lead you to a short circular walk around the property through forest, fynbos, passed a dam, and a large lookout deck on the edge of the forest. If you are lucky you may catch sight of the bushbuck, boar, caracal, monkeys, and baboons that visit Forest Hills. The Knysna lourie can often be seen with a flash of red as it swoops along the forest edge and at times fish eagles call from up high. A true birders paradise.

Taaibos Cottage is a historical 2 bedroom traditional thatched roundhouse. Privately positioned, comfortable and spacious, the cottage features a large fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with both bath and shower, lounge and two bedrooms. The second bedroom has three single beds. From the large deck with magnificent views of the indigenous forest and Outeniqua mountains one can enjoy the pool, private gardens surrounding the cottage, and access to the forest walks.

Forest View is a spacious 1 bedroom suite with an en-suite bathroom, lounge, dining room and fully equipped kitchen. A large verandah looks out across the forest valley to the mountains beyond. From the private gardens, one has easy access to the pool, viewing deck, and forest walks.

We are conveniently positioned 15 minutes from Knysna, Buffalo Bay and the National forest. The forest offers several day hikes and mountain bike tracks as well as picnic spots along the river. Buffalo Bay is a prefect swimming beach and has extraordinary unspoiled stretches of coastline to walk.

Family-friendly: Forest Hills has walks, a dam to investigate, a slide at the poolside, and a trampoline. Taaibos Cottage is a funhouse with its unique round rooms. Buffalo Bay and the National Forest are both 15minutes away.

Romantic: Forest View is the perfect hideaway for couples wanting a private time in the country. The bedroom has a large wood-burning fireplace for cozy romantic nights and the viewing deck is perfect for sundowners.
