What a wonderful end to our December holiday!
Usually, overnighting on the way back to Gauteng from the Cape is not the most pleasant end to a holiday. But here we found a Karoo gem.
Dinner and breakfast are taken care of, and all our roadtrip cutlery (milk bottles, cooldrink bottles and coolbox) where helpfully cleaned by the staff. After 9 hours in a bus our small children could run around on the big lawn to get rid of the long drive frustrations before we all jumped on a game viewer to go and find some animals as the sun set.
Our sleeping arrangements where flexible and they went out of their way to accommodate our family of 5.
And after a great stay, it was a short drive the next morning when we left to show the kids the Gariep dam before we headed on home!

Colesberg Reviews
We stayed at Colesberg for the night, while travelling from Johannesburg to Cape Town. Staying at Little Farm, we enjoyed a light dinner and the most delicious slap chips, while enjoying the pet-friendly and child friend outdoor area.
Easy access from the highway
Beautiful surroundings
Well positioned between Gauteng and the Cape Coast
The beautiful accommodation and their cleanliness.
Colesberg the town has really gone down, rubbish everywhere, dirty and dusty. However as we stayed in the wonderful lodge outside of the town, we will overnight again in the area, as it is in the middle of Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Friendly people and just the right distance from Gauteng to take a break.
Spectacular view of animals and the mountains.
The roads are in great condition, we did not go into the town.
Just travelling through ....
