The entire house is rented as a unit meaning that you have the house, gardens and pool to yourselves.
The farmhouse is newly refurbished with modern bathrooms complementing with the old-world charm of solid wooden doors, floors, sash windows and shutters. The 3,5m high ceilings and large windows provide lots of natural light.
The wrap around veranda connects the kitchen, lounge and library with the pool and outdoor dining area and is a wonderful relaxation area.

All our rooms have their own private bathrooms with walk-in showers.
All have King-size, extra-long, double beds, some can be converted into single beds on request. All have Air conditioner, remote controlled ceiling fan, tea and coffee making facilities and hair dryers. Free Wi-Fi is available.

Abbott’s Hill Guest House is on Hillcrest farm in the Swartland Winelands. It is in close proximity to several wineries and only 45 minutes from Central Cape Town.

We are well placed for day trips to Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl and Tulbagh. The West Coast National Park with its azure lagoon is 45 minutes away. Riebeeck-Kasteel is only 20 minutes’ drive and is worth visiting for its dining.

If you request our breakfast option, let us know before your arrival. We offer continental breakfasts as well as exciting daily new cooked breakfast choices. Our daily choices are fan favourites. We source locally and according to the season, we prepare the meal as guests arrive in the dining area, so everything is fresh, healthy, and tasty. We also have freshly ground coffee, a choice of teas, fresh bread and fruit, cereals and muesli, yoghurts, and fruit juices.

We can assist you with wine tasting and other tours. No one should leave without having a wine tasting experience. If you let us know in advance, you may join in on seasonal winemaking activities such as picking, crushing, blending, and bottling. You may even create your own blend to take home with you.

Our garden has heaps of sun and a large swimming pool, but also beautiful shady areas for relaxing. As you relax, browse through our extensive library of books and maps, and help yourself to our Honesty Bar for a refreshing beverage. Take a sip, swim, or read as you admire the spectacular winelands views.
