Leeurivier Wildkamp Lapa is a beautiful, rustic self-catering farmhouse situated 50 km south of Beaufort West. The house can comfortably accommodate a group of 9 guests with space for everyone to relax and enjoy the wide open Karoo veld.

This solar and gas-powered property consists of 3 bedrooms, each sleeping 3 guests, and ample ablution facilities: a bath, a shower and 3 separate toilets. The main and third bedrooms are each furnished with 1 single bed and 1 queen-size bed, while the second bedroom is furnished with 3 single beds. Separate ablution facilities mean there’ll be no queuing in the morning; while both the indoor and outdoor living areas ensure that everyone gets a quiet spot in which to relax and unwind, listen to the birds and watch the clouds sail by high above.

The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a double-door fridge, a gas stove with an oven and ample cooking utensils and pots.

The Leeurivier Lapa is the perfect place a family farm holiday. This large, robust facebrick dwelling is ideal for children and practically equipped for fun and relaxation. The Lapa is situated in a game camp with ample accommodation, a fully equipped kitchen, two spaces for braaiing and a large lawn. Several families can spend a week or more enjoying the great outdoors and all nature has to offer the weary soul. Children can play freely but safely on the lawn or ride around the veld on their bikes with gay abandon.

The Lapa is located between 2 dry riverbeds within a large game camp, boasting an impressive variety of game species including giraffe, zebra, kudu, eland, sable, gemsbok, blue wildebeest, red hartebeest, blesbok, springbuck, duiker, steenbok, ostrich, and the smaller veld inhabitants like the hare and mongoose.

The outside area offers a grassed area with a braai, as well as a covered area with an additional built-in braai. The living area includes a bar area, a large dining table and chairs, as well as a fireplace which is perfect on a chilly winter night.

Take an early walk at sunrise, or enjoy a sunset drive through the veld and you might spot several of the following: Giraffe, Zebra, Kudu, Eland, Oryx, Sable, Blue Wildebees, Red Hartebees, Blesbok, Impala, Springbuck, Duiker, Steenbok, Ostrich and the smaller veld inhabitants like hare and mongoose.

For braaiiers, we have lamb and boerewors for sale, but make sure you bring along enough bread, cheese, chutney etc. to make the ultimate jaffles or braai broodjies. There is also a potjie pot and for the bread bakers, we have sticks for stokbrood and ample grid space to make rooster koek. Prepare to spend many nights under the magnificent stars making food together, swopping stories and sharing jokes.

Leave routines, schedules, screens and reminders behind. Put your feet up, walk off the cobwebs, take huge gulps of fresh, clean air and reconnect with each other and with nature.
