We are fortunate that airport noise does not affect our tranquil oasis in any way, nor will it detract from the pleasure you're sure to derive from your stay with us.

Consequently, you will hear every sound the lovebirds cheep when they welcome you, and your sleep will be undisturbed by anything other than our dawn chorus as the sun rises on another bright Namibian day.

After you have woken and freshened up in your comfortable en-suite room, you can join the abundant birdlife for our 'Birding Breakfast' while you enjoy your sumptuous Namibian breakfast on our terrace, or relax in the garden in the shade of the Camelthorn trees, while they busy themselves with everything birds need to do.

This area, where mountains, Kalahari sand and Central Highland eco-systems overlap, is well known as a birding 'hotspot'.

Etango Ranch Guest Farm is situated just 5 minutes' drive from Windhoek International Airport, making it an ideal start and finish point for international visitors visiting the country, as well as transit passengers with a few hours to while away, or those with an early flight.

Although close to the airport, our working cattle Ranch is not disturbed by airport noise and remains a tranquil rural base for a short or long stay.

Three Bungalows each comprising Two Twin/Double Rooms,

They also serve as accommodation for our Educational Centre which offers residential courses to local students.

The Windhoek CBD encompasses of an area of 1.9km² and is bordered by Bahnhof Street in the north, Robert Mugabe Avenue in the east, Lazarett, Edison, Voigts, Bismarck, Hosea Kutako, John Meinert and Mandume Ndemufayo Streets.

Etango Ranch Guest Farm has the following facilities available to Guests - Lounge, Dining Room, cosy fully licensed Bar featuring reasonably priced South African wines.

- Airport Transfers (extra charges apply) - Etango is only 5 minutes from the airport. Leave your car there, we will do the rest!
- Car-Shelter: Ample, safe, under-cover car-parking facilities, may also be used for long-term parking.
- Educational Centre Lecture Room: A comfortable space seating 30 people - ideal for small conferences.
- Conference Services: We cater for small Conferences with up to 26 people in double rooms, and
seating 30 people in the Lecture Hall.

Overhead/media projector, screen, flip charts, name tags, writing utensils and other materials are available. (This facility is only bookable in advance.)

Our farm is home to 300 free-roaming SIMBRA cattle which may occasionally be seen if you wander the ranch or join us on one of our guided walks or drives.

Morning Scenic Drives-
After a typical mouth watering Namibian breakfast, tantalize your adventure-buds as we explore the farm, through the foothills of the Bismarck Mountains, sharing information about our farming operation, the fauna and flora. With luck we may spot the well-camouflaged Hartmann's Zebra as well as resident Kudu, Oryx, Hartebeest, Springbok, Steenbok, Ostrich, Duiker, Warthog and other small animals.

Birding Breakfast-
We invite all birding enthusiasts to enjoy breakfast surrounded by the sweet sound of the large flocks which have made our farm their home.

Nature Walks-
Venture alone on foot, following our dedicated walking routes, or join our nature walk accompanied by our experienced guide who offers insight into the farming operations, fauna and flora, as well as the opportunity of close encounters with our game species. (Guided Walks must be booked in advance).
