Kaaimans River Cottage is a stunning family friendly self catering cottage situated on the banks of the famous Kaaimans River in Wilderness, Garden Route. Kaaimans River Cottage is only accessible by rowing boat or canoes, which is provided by us, so you need to have an adventurous spirit. It is swimming or rowing distance to the beautiful secluded Kaaimans beach, the secret waterfall and to unique river kloofing.

This stunning 3-bedroom self catering cottage can accommodate up to 8 guests. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, while the other 2 bedrooms each have 2 single beds. There is a double sleeper couch in the loft area suitable for 2 children. The cottage has 2 bathrooms.

The cottage consists of a lounge area, dining area, equipped kitchen, a covered verandah and an open deck. The cottage offers off-grid living with solar power providing adequate electricity for basic needs such as lights at night and enough power to charge phones and run a laptop or two for some hours. The stove, fridge and hot water system are all gas-powered.

Kaaimans River Cottage is pet-friendly by prior arrangement only for well-behaved pets. PLEASE NOTE:
The property is NOT fenced, however the river provides a barrier so that dogs cannot reach the road unless they swim.

The cottage is rural and perfect for those who enjoy being in the outdoors.

Please note that because you need to cross the river to access the cottage, you need to be prepared that the weather can sometimes play a part in your stay. We have a fireplace inside the cottage so if the weather doesn't play along, you can cozy up, play board games and watch the river/rain, which is truly an experience.

Refundable Breakage Deposit:
We require an additional R 2 000 security/breakages/damages deposit, which is NOT included in the quote. The deposit is refundable immediately when the house and rowing boat is returned to us, together with the oars, the rowlocks and the anchor, in good order.

Cleaning Fee:
There is also a R 1 000 cleaning fee payable.
