Surfstar offers a new kind of simple luxury. It is located on the highest point of Mimosa Street with gorgeous sea views. Experience the wonderful smell of the ocean, barefoot beach walks and incredible sun and moon rises.
It overlooks the main surf breaks in Jeffreys Bay including the world famous Supertubes. You can also watch dolphins and whales from your private patio and see the sun and the moon rises.
Surfstar is comprised of three individually tailored accommodation units. All three units have panoramic 180-degree views of the bay. You can watch surfers having the perfect ride at the world famous Supertubes as well as the surf line ups at Salads, Coins, Tubes and Point.
All these breaks, shops and restaurants are accessed by a short easy walk. We are approximately 150 m from the beach, while shops and restaurants are at the end of the street.
The interiors have an altogether contemporary feel. All three units are equipped with televisions and wi-fi, but you will need to bring your own decoder if you’d like to watch DSTV during your stay.
All three units have open plan kitchen and lounge areas. The kitchens are equipped with fridge freezers, microwaves, kettles, Nespresso machines, toasters as well as ceramic hobs. They are each equipped with a dishwasher. The Garden House and the Tree House both have ensuite bathrooms (with showers). The Pool House has one ensuite and one shared bathroom ( with showers ).
You can experience the perfect righthand wave at Supertubes or join the world famous surf line ups at Salads, Coins, Tubes and Point. Children can paddle in the many rock pools chasing small fish and collecting beautiful shells.
All these surf breaks, beaches and shops and restaurants are accessed by a short easy walk from Surfstar.
We are approximately 150m from the beach, while shops and restaurants are at the end of the street.
We do offer a communal surf room with racks to store surfboards safely. All beach/fishing equipment can be safely stored in this room.
The surf room has a double shower, WC and basin and is perfectly placed to wash off your beach sand before going into your accommodation.
Attractions:Guests can visit the popular and unique Jeffreys Bay Surf Village for some shopping and sample the food at the vibrant cafes.
Snorkelling, fishing, whale watching, kite surfing, horseback riding on the beach, fat bike riding and golf are a few of the activities available.
A walk or cycle in the Kabeljous Nature Reserve will show you the wonderful bird life in this area.
There are some incredible game reserves a couple of hours drive away. Addo Elephant Park, Shamwari and Kwandwe are very popular.

Safe and secure with friendly people
We stayed at Surfstar the views were incredible and the pool was sparkling. We could walk to the beach and had an amazing meal at Nina’s restaurant.
We will definitely be back.
The suburb Wavecrest is very peaceful and safe with great restaurants nearby. We stayed at Tecoma 38 at JBay and would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone as it is almost on the beach(50m) but also got a pool and could accommodate our whole group of 14 people. The interior is beautiful. Will definitely book again.
