! Xairu Tradu is a tented bush-retreat on a small, working farm outside of Suurbraak, Swellendam. This tranquil farm setting offers environmentally conscious individual/s, a unique, break-away with an authentic, camping experience close to nature less than 256 km from the Cape Town CBD.

On offer is the choice of sleeping in a comfortable bed without the hassle of pitching your own tent in one of our fully-equipped, self-catering, rustic, tented-accommodation Alternatively we also offer the opportunity for guests to bring their own equipment and camp in one of our basic, pre-pitched tents.

The limited site is completely off-grid, with rain-harvested water; solar-powered lighting & water heating. There is no refrigerator nor cell-phone signal but loads of fresh air, shade, fire wood, peace and quiet, Surrounded by indigenous growth one only has the annoying bugs, spiders, mosquitoes, honey bees, bird-chatter, frogs, otters, mongoose and the odd meandering farm animal to contend with.

Being COVID-conscious, tents are a distance from one another. Inhale the clean, fresh air amongst the olive & lemon trees.
Spend the quiet time in meditation & contemplation, observe the more than 50 bird species, including blue cranes, humming birds & raptor in the area, observe the Cape Clawless Otter, Cape Fox, Scrub Hares, angulated tortoise , Grysbok, Southern Rock Agama & bats that share this space with our chickens, sheep & cattle.
