Umziki Chalets are situated on a hill with a view of the Jozini Pongolapoort dam and Ubombo mountain.
The camp consists of seven self catering chalets and 2 stands for camping.
In Room Facilities:Each air conditioned chalet has a kitchenette, bathroom, and a built in BBQ. Each stand has paving and a roof, private ablusions that include a toilet, inside shower, double basin, outside shower, boma and built in BBQ.
Area Information:Umziki Chalets offers the visitor to KZN the ideal stopover. It is ideally situated if you are on your way North to Ndumo, Tembe or Kosi Bay or down South to iSimangaliso Wetland Park, Imfolozi and beyond. It is also an ideal base camp from for tiger fishing. The launch site is 6km from Umziki. Entrance is through the Pongola Game reserve South gate, free of charge to our Umziki guests.
Property Facilities:All accommodation is self-catering and the camp has a fully equipped central kitchen and dining area with open view DStv. For outdoor cooking and socializing, there is a boma area as well as 2 swimming pools with deck for guests' use. Wood and ice are available to purchase with prior arrangement.
Attractions:58m waterslide. 3m waterslide. A zipline for children. A game or bird viewing hide on the dam's edge. A bass and kurper dam close-by. Self gamedrives with 3 of the big 5. The Jozini Dam is the only dam in South Africa which is home to the fighting Tiger Fish. Live Tilapia, chicken hearts or chicken livers are recommended bait, however some anglers also find a variety of lures and spinners effective. Fishing takes place from boats, as the shores are home to a variety of wildlife. Tiger fish can be caught all year round although fishing is best during the warmer months.

Thank you for assisting with the booking for fishing trip. Thank you for the availability of purchasing wood and ice. The camping spot was very nice and the ablutions' design and cleanliness is excellent. It is very nice to have your own ablutions for every campsite.

I had an amazing time at the campsites .. I would really recommend you do the self-drive on the farm , the views from High Point are really something special ( make sure you have a high rise vehicle with difflock or just 4x4 ) especially if there has been quite a lot of rain in the area .. Definitely coming back.
