This beautiful reserve is home to Africa’s Big Five, as well as rare white lion, hippo, hyena, cheetah, giraffes, various antelope and more than 300 bird species. You can explore the reserve in custom landrovers or on guided walking safaris.
Pumba Private Game Reserve Water Lodge offers 12 luxury stone walled, thatched, waterfront chalets overlooking the beautiful Lake Cariega. Each chalet has a luxurious en-suite bathroom and private timber decks with outside showers and plunge pools.

The Old buildings, the stunning churches and Cathedral, the history and the National Arts Festial.
The roads are full of potholes, everything closes very early during the weekend.
During fest, the Long table is a very good place for dinner!
Grahamstown is a lovely town but the terrible potholes and lack of water in town is a huge problem for visitors and residents alike. My sons are students at Rhodes University and struggle immensely with the bad water supply and as they call it "water shedding" as they sometimes go up to three days days at a time without water
