Elephants Crossing welcomes those looking for the perfect combination of thrilling Big 5 adventures and serenity. This exclusive tented bush lodge overlooks wooded plains, a private waterhole and allows for beautiful and uninterrupted views over the reserve.
Rates include two game drives per day, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner. In addition, house wines, local beers, and soft drinks are included.

Our private bush villa at the highest point of the entire camp is a luxurious thatched retreat to be shared among friends and loved ones. The villa is a comfortable home-base from which to enjoy Big 5 adventures in a homely setting, together.
Area Information:While visiting Elephants Crossing, you can expect to face of a fair amount of wildlife. The lodge is located in the Welgevonden Game Reserve, which lays in the heart of the Waterberg Biosphere Reserve. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is dominated by different veld types and has characteristic mountainous bushveld areas. It is the perfect setting for a wide variety of 5500 species of plants, of which 43% are endemic to Southern Africa.
Property Facilities:Our comfortable main lodge boasts cinematic seating with views on the private waterhole and provides a place to come at peace in the middle of the sensational Waterberg bush.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinners are served on our widespread deck with firepit, or inside the main lodge next to the cozy fireplace – depending on your wishes.
You can also find an outdoor fireplace as well as an indoor Fireplace at the lodge, with a spectacular Large communal deck.
Attractions:This variety of vegetation leads to a diverse amount of animal species. More than 50 species of mammals and over 300 bird species are found in the reserve. Our experienced field guides will take you on an adventure in search of the Big 5 and all of the beauty of Welgevonden Game Reserve.
Fun facts:
Elephants will drink up to 200 liters of water per day. They often come by the private waterhole to fill up their trunks.
The lodge is partially fenced. You could be lucky to bump into a zebra or klipspringer on the way to your accommodation.
The largest rodent in South Africa is the Cape Porcupine, which frequently visit the lodge during the evenings.
