The Restio Country Guesthouse is situated in the heart of the picturesque country village of Napier. Strategically placed on Main Street, we are surrounded by a vibrant community, with restaurants and galleries all around us.
Experience the peace and charm of country living. The aim has been to retain the character and charm of yesteryear and to treat you to Jonno and Maya’s warm hospitality, delicious food and comfortable ambiance.
In Room Facilities:Each Suite has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and handbasin (one Suite (Nerina) has a free-standing bath).
Free Wi-Fi, smart TVs, Tea & Coffee Stations and a small bar fridge are all provided.
Two of the suites have their own entrance from the ‘Buttress Patio’ and are pet friendly.
There is a comfortable communal lounge in the heart of the old homestead, with warm Oregon Pine ceilings, floors and internal shutters.
from here, you are ideally located to explore and enjoy the abundant natural, cultural and historic attractions of the area…an easy two-hour drive from Cape Town and close to the popular beaches and fishing spots of Arniston, Struisbaai and then, of course, L’Agulhas – the Southernmost Tip of Africa!

We are wheelchair friendly, with easy access via ramps throughout the property. There is also a paraplegic guest cloakroom for guests of the guesthouse and coffee shop.
Two of our Suites are pet friendly.
A sumptuous a la carte breakfast will be served in the dining room. Alternately, you may choose to stroll across to the Coffee Shop and treat yourself to a coffee with a freshly baked pastry?
Picnic hampers and dinners (including traditional braai/barbecue) are available on request.

The most beautiful province styled accommodation. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Lovely breakfast served with good coffee. Would recommend an overnight stay when you travelling between towns
Excellent rooms, hospitality, great food and a very interesting town to visit
Treat yourselves and book in at The Restio - I had 5 nights there, and wish I could have had another 5 at least! Maya and Jonno's warm, caring hospitality shone through - they were on the ball with each and every guest, seeing to various requests, etc. Then, include a beautifully restored building, wonderful hearty meals (with the special Maya magic), luxurious comfort in the rooms (and great to find somewhere pet-friendly) and peaceful atmosphere...all this only an easy 2 hour drive from Cape Town. I had 2 friends visit on different days, and all of us left saying " We will be back!".
Excellent accommodation and hospitality from the hosts, Jonno and Maya. You will not be disappointed! I spent a weekend walking in the neighborhood, attended a church service with live music and ate sumptuously at the guesthouse… well worth the stay.
Fabulous hospitality, stunning bedrooms, delicious breakfast and even got to have dinner with the hosts! This is the most delightful environment to spend some quality time and be spoiled rotten by the glorious countryside
