Sandcastle Villa is located on the Sunshine Coast, and sits on the horizon like a mirage. The Villa is on offer as an exclusive-use, private residence inclusive of accommodation, daily housekeeping and all catering.
Beyond the natural beauty of the estate’s fauna and flora, the most awe-inspiring element of Sandcastle is the architectural character of the property. The Villa was designed to imitate the land and boundless seascape; it holds the same innate, organic charisma. The estate’s turrets, reaching through and beyond the double-volume ceilings, invoke a surreal reflection of a termite mound, or a loosely-formed sandcastle. The 250 hectre land surrounding the villa is a wildlife conservancy, teaming with zebra, giraffe, sable and antelope indigenous to the area. The reserve is also home to smaller mammals, such as the Cape Yellow mongoose, civet and genet.
The Villa in this remote and tranquil escape for up to 8 guests offers 4 king-size bedrooms each with an en-suite and spectacular ocean view.
Three of the bedrooms can be arranged as either 2 three-quarter beds or 1 emperor size bed, depending on the desired requirements.
East London Airport is the closest major, airport offering daily commercial flights to and from all major South African cities such as Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban. At the airport, you can hire a car from one of the major rental companies. The Villa is approximately one hour from the airport.
Private Landing
Alternatively, should you wish to fly in privately, the reserve offers an 800m landing strip on the property. There is also a Helipad conveniently located next to the villa. If coming in a larger jet, Port Alfred Airfield is the closest airfield.
