Far away from the city lights, in a vast open space where rock formations frame the horizon, there is a hidden treasure - the beautiful Kagga Kamma Nature Reserve. Kagga Kamma is unique in that it offers experiences and facilities you will not find anywhere else.
Discover a place so beautiful that the landscape seems quite out of this world. This off the beaten track lodge and nature reserve is 250 km away from Cape Town. If your quest is a weekend filled with the extraordinary, head over to Kagga Kamma Nature Reserve. Sleep under the starry African night sky in one of the largest rooms in the world, overlooking the Cederberg; or in a “Cave” Suite skilfully constructed to integrate with the natural sandstone formations.
Alternatively, choose a spacious Hut Suite, resembling the traditional dwellings inhabited by the clans of the area many moons ago. Whether you are a nature lover, adventurer, relaxer or an explorer – Kagga Kamma is the perfect escape. Admire astonishing views while traversing the nature reserve on foot, two-wheels or four. Cool off in the pool, eat dinner under the stars and experience the unique wilderness that is Kagga Kamma.

The stay at Kagga Kamma took me back to my childhood in the Karoo. Wonderful natural surroundings - undisturbed by the ratrace - the place to go when your soul needs to be fed with quiet serenity. The friendly and helpful staff and the restaurant in the boma under the stars made this an unforgettable experience.
Such a magical place. We slept like babies in the womb in our our dramatic bedroom in a cave in the rocks! The scenery is wonderful, the staff were excellent. A lovely experience.
Our family with two kids loved every minute in Kagga Kamma! Our host Jason was fantastic and very knowledgeable on the nature drives etc. Also Sam was great. The premises are beautiful, well kept as also was our accommodation hut. The service was excellent and very friendly. I hope I can return some day, thank you!
We absolutely loved our stay at Kagga Kamma. The landscape is breathtaking, the staff friendly and helpful and the accommodation comfortable. I would love to go again in summer and stay in one of the outdoor rooms. Our night there was our 'treat ' night for our holiday - quite pricey but well worth it. It really was an amazing experience.
Ons verblyf te Kagga Kamma was 'awesome'.
This is definitely a lovely place for couples. The silence and barren beauty of the Cedarberg is best enjoyed without young kids. Next time we will leave them at home and come as a couple :) There isn't much for young kids to do at all, so if you do bring them, bring enough to occupy them.
Amazingly quiet and inspiring space. The restaurant food was excellent, great vegan and vegetarian options. The fireplace in the lounge was cozy and inviting. The rock art tour was very interesting. The guides and staff were professional and friendly.
Unforgettable, will return with 4X4 to explore more of the areas not reached on this trip. The Cafe Late was better than anything we tasted before, No TV in chalet meant more quality time together! Thanks

Beautiful farm, breathtaking views.
We loved the surroundings, especially the rocky areas. With two young kids we didn't really get to do nature trails or drives but look forward to doing this next time.
