Mvemve Lodge at GrootPoort offers guest accommodation located on a private farm 35 km from Memel. All rooms include breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner during your stay.
** This is a rural working farm and unfortunately we discourage children under the age of 10 **
What makes our farm a wonderful place to visit and stay will also shape your experience here so please be aware:
- Our beautiful working farm is in a remote location (we are 45 minutes from the small town of Memel in Free State, and 75 minutes from the city of Newcastle in KZN)
- We have no signal and no WiFi
- Home-style cooked meals are provided and included in the room price. Let us know if you have dietary requirements and we'll try to accommodate. We cannot guarantee that cross-contamination of allergens won't occur
- The roads are un-tarred (unpaved) so car travel by 4x4 or a sedan with high wheel clearance is recommende

Beautiful part of the country. The farmers fixed the road (potholes) and it is not bad at this stage.
Close and accessible from Johannesburg but the roads are not in great condition :(
