Vyfster The Old Jail offers comfortable accommodation in the old Britstown jailhouse which has been renovated to serve as a guest house. Most of the original fixtures in the building have been preserved and guests can catch a glimpse into its past through the photographs and engraved names that decorate the granite walls.
In Room Facilities:Accommodation is offered in 3 old jail cells which have been tastefully refurbished and decorated.
Cell 1 is furnished with a queen-size bed and features an open-plan shower-over-bath.
Cell 3 comprises 3 single beds. with a bathroom that is fitted with a shower.
Cell 4 This unit is ideal for 2 guests and is furnished with a double bed. The bathroom is separate and is fitted with a shower. A fireplace and guest lounge is located within the building,
The Interrogation Room is a unit that is a renovated Interrogation room that is now a family unit. This unit has 2 bedrooms with a bathroom.
Area Information:Britstown offers intriguing attractions for art lovers as well as history buffs. The Dutch Reformed Church, built in 1877, and the town's museum in Raath Street, housed in what used to be the Holy Trinity Church.
