We had a warm welcome. The cottage was beautiful and neat and had everything we needed. . Amazing garden and views and so peaceful. Hot tub was a awesome and the outside garden lights created a perfect romantic atmosphere. Will definitely go back again!!
Our weekend at Bakenhof farm was all sorts of magic. A welcome breakaway from the city of Cape Town. We stayed in one of the suits with exclusive use of the Kokol. Bakenhof has incredible views over mountains and Wellington town. The area is surrounded by grape vineyards and the serenity on the farm is heartfelt. We loved every second. Thank you Heidi
My family and I stayed at Bakenhof for 4 days and we absolutely loved every second. The place has beautiful gardens and grounds and is a plethora of colour with all the many flowers and pretty areas to explore from the dam to the vineyards and more. The views over Wellington and the mountains in the distance are spectacular. We nosied around the wedding venue chapel and dining/dance hall on site and wished we had a chance to attend a wedding there as it has every amenity and facility necessary for a seriously special wedding day - even a pamper room for the ladies with pink hairdryers! So fun. The kolkol hot tub was our absolute favourite, watching the sun go down over the mountains, sipping bubbly in the steaming water. We were a bit too lazy to make use of the bikes or take long walks but if you are more active than us, you can exercise to your hearts content as the area is expansive. 15 mins drive to the town with all the great supermarkets makes it an easy stay. The rooms were very plush with pillows incredible facilities - we stayed in the king suite and springbok suite and could not have been more comfortable. We loved the outside braai area and the tv’s in every room were a spoiler. The owner, Heidi, could not have been more accommodating or helpful to our group and we are truly grateful for the fabulous stay. Thanks so much! We will be back and can highly recommend it to anyone.
