Welcome to 18 on Mark, nestled in the heart of the charming Karoo town of Willowmore. Our prime location strikes the perfect balance between convenience and serenity, with delightful restaurants and coffee shops just a short walk away.
Dedicated to sustainability, 18 on Mark operates primarily off the power grid. Our accommodations are designed with energy efficiency in mind, so please note that air conditioning and heating are not available. We utilize treated borehole water and provide fresh drinking water for your convenience.
Accommodation Options
Lavender Cottage: Ideal for 3-4 guests, this spacious self-catering retreat features a separate bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a bathroom with a shower, and a fully equipped open-plan kitchen. The cozy living area includes WiFi and a cozy indoor fireplace, plus an extra single bed and a loose mattress in the lounge—perfect for small families. Enjoy the private enclosed garden with a covered patio, braai facilities, and a splash pool for summer relaxation.
Pet-friendly for small to medium house-trained dogs (maximum of 2), with secure parking available.
Blue Gum Suite: This private room with its own entrance is perfect for an overnight stay. It includes a double bed, an en-suite bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower, and comfortable Wingback chairs along with a table and chairs. Enjoy free WiFi and a complimentary breakfast tray. Unwind on the stoep with a sundowner in the late afternoon and experience the essence of the Karoo.

Willowmore is known as the Western Gateway to the Baviaans, due to the fact that it is the last town before entering the Baviaanskloof area. Willowmore is the ideal place to stop to shop for supplies and fuel, before heading off into the Reserve. Spend an extra night in Willowmore and explore the area. Aasvoelberg is highly recommended for the outdoor enthusiast who enjoys either hiking or mountain biking. A drive in a 4x4 up to the top of the mountain overlooking the area including the town of Willowmore is also something to consider. Bakers Dam is a bird lover's paradise where "birders" can appreciate the bird life and unspoilt flora. Other attractions are the Historical Graveyard, the Old Blackstone Power Station, the Pierre Ferreira Hiking Trail and other Historical Buildings in town.

This is a wonderful jewel in the middle of nowhere, with great hosts. There is NOTHING missing from this lovely cottage and we would stay there over and over again!
Absolutely beautiful. The cottages has everything you need and more. Having family in Willowmore and spending many holidays here, it is awesome to come back and see how beautiful the dorpie looks. The hosts are awesome and although Jhb is very far (where we live), we will definately be back!
