A Touch of Bushveld by the Sea is a private and quiet self-catering apartment set on a smallholding in the heart of Long Acres Estate in Langebaan. Away from the noise of town, but a short drive to restaurants, beaches, activities, and shops, the unit provides a sometimes much-needed break from the wind that Langebaan and beach towns are known for, and allows you to enjoy the outdoors all times of the day and night.

The room is on the far end of the smallholding overlooking the luscious green grass and springboks. Enjoy a good night’s sleep on the extra-length king-size bed, with luxury pillows, bedding and linen. The room also features a flat-screen TV with DStv, air-conditioning and a heater, and a safe for your valuables. For those that need to work, there is a work desk and Wi-Fi internet access. The neat and clean bathroom contains a bath and a shower. Bath towels, robes and bathroom amenities are provided.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, hob and oven, microwave, kettle and toaster. Salt, pepper and basic spices, as well as tea, coffee milk and sugar are provided on arrival. The unit opens to a covered patio with outdoor furniture, and a built-in braai. The unit also has a private wood-fired hot tub. Fire wood and firefighters are also provided.

Guests are welcome to make use of the indoor heated swimming pool. Designed with baby safety and ease of entry in mind. There is seating in the pool. We also offer you a safe spot for your wetsuits and kitesurfing equipment.

Swimming towels for the beach are readily available, and if you would like a picnic blanket and cooler box, please let us know. I happily help out with any surprises you may want to organize, such as a cheese and wine platter or bubbles and chocolates. Let me know 48 hours in advance of your arrival and we can discuss the details.

For those that are staying longer; the apartment is cleaned every 3 days and fresh towels will be provided. Secure parking is provided on the property, and you will be given a remote control for the driveway gate.

The Longacres Country and Equestrian Estate is in Langebaan, conveniently situated on the Cape West Coast an hour and a half's drive approximately 130 km north of Cape Town. Apart from the water sports on the lagoon, Langebaan is part of the greatest flower show on earth. The flowers start to appear in the northern region of Namaqualand and spread all the way down the West Coast. The flowers usually appear in mid-August and continue till the end of September.

We have springbok on our property and owls and guinea fowl. You can arrange to feed the springboks. Sit back and enjoy the most beautiful sunset, while listening to the sounds of the animals.
