Pre wedding stay
Our wedding party stayed here for 2 nights with our son’s wedding . We had a family and friends BBQ the night before and what a lovely night we had. Great food and service and the team at the venue couldn’t do enough to make the night special. Definitely a place we will recommend.

Rundum fantastisch

Must stay Guava Estate Great for Families or couples
Beautiful Guava farm very comfortable lodging in the middle of the Cape Winelands. Enjoy wonderful family hospitality provided by Daan and his family. Beautiful grounds wonderful accommodations and great breakfast and dinner options. Peaceful well kept secure grounds. Special treat for firefighters visiting the area they really make you feel at home. This family has incredible knowledge of the area and the wonders it offers. Perfect for first time visitors to South Africa or seasoned visitors. I really encourage stays of at least 3 days if not more. A true South African Gem!

Wij gaan hier zeker terugkomen.

Amazing!
Such attentive and friendly staff! The venue and views are amazing. Gardens are immaculate. Food was nothing short of fantastic. It is a little on the pricey side but once you get there and experience it you have a better acceptance of the price.

Very comfortable apartment with two bedrooms and well equipped kitchen
Beautifully quiet with magnificent views of the mountains
Garden outside the apartment as well
Breakfast was well prepared and service was good
Very pleasant management

Our trip to the Cape was coming to an end and we decided to visit the winelands. This hotel had been recommended by friends and we booked a room in the Old Stable. When we arrived we were met by our host, Daan, a delightful Dutchman who is a dead ringer for Indianna Jones and clearly lives the part. He is a great enthusiast and his love of his farm which he bought in 2004 is obvious. We were upgraded to the Barnyard and our room was very african, dark and beautifully restored with a twin basin bathroom and little kitchen. The food is the best I had in S. AFrica. The chef is exceptional and every meal cried out to be photographed in its beauty. Unfortunately we are not big eaters and the deal is a 3 course meal every evening which `i tried to do justice to but would have preferred a lighter alternative. My husband, who swears he is not a pudding man, could not resist the amazing deserts. It is very much a family business with both Daan and his wife and two grown up children hands-on at all times. He grows guavas which sadly were not in evidence but also citrus and of course vines. We had four days and could have stayed much longer as there are plenty of places to visit nearby although Paarl managed to escape us despite several attempts to get there. I would recommend this for families and people who are not worried about luxury and can enjoy feeling part of the family.

Paarl Reviews
Best hospitality we have experienced in a very long time.
People go out of their way to accommodate you with the simplest things.
Loved the following places with helpful and friendly staff contributing to an a-lister experience-
Nine Oaks- beautiful venue with a little shop, restaurant and bar area on site. We stayed here for 4 nights and it really is a little hidden gem.
Spice Route- as always we had an amazing experience with the most beautiful views, charcuterie and cheese boards, wines, spices and beer and cider tastings. So much to do in so little time.
Bellaire Pavillion- stunning venue. Beautiful views! Lush green! Variety of little hidden gems all rolled into one venue. If we had more time I would've explored the venue more to see what else it had to offer ♡
Picardie- 5 star experience. Read the review. Nuff said ♡♡♡♡♡
Fairview- Have been to Fairview before. Love the Goats at the entrance. Love the Goatshed restaurant- we had breakfast there- we had the best muesli and yoghurt we have ever had!!! Even if you are not a great fan of a cold breakfast- try it- it might convert your tastebuds!
I have to also give a shout out to all the little local bars we visited- we felt part of the local crowd in no time.
Black Steers Kitchen- wow- what a stunning view and once again accommodating us so last minute to share a bit of what you had to offer to end off our travels on a high note before going for one last Hooray to...
Bossa Paarl- what a way to end a perfect holiday party!
See you all soon hartsmense en hartsplekke. Tot weersiens!
lots to do , safe and clean
Quiet, clean and friendly
Divine greenery.
The vineyards and weather!
Highly recommended to anyone who needs peace, beauty in surrounding and to relax!!
Nice evening vibe. Sushi buffet was Devine!
Visiting the wineries.
The Spice Route is definitely a plus. But the town itself has some stunning spots. There are open green parks along the river which are perfect for picnics, and there are ample shops and restaurants to enjoy.
The farm scenery.
