The Fireside Cabin is a gorgeous log cabin that is completely off-the-grid, with full water and electricity both supplied without relying on Eskom and the municipality. The property boasts a river that is visible from the deck and is within walking distance so you can enjoy wonderful picnics, fishing, paddling, and swimming to your heart's content.
The cabin sleeps up to four in two well-appointed bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the second has twin single beds, both with brand new luxury linen. There is a beautiful bathroom with a large shower and new towels for your enjoyment.
The Cabin has a cosy open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with a fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and the lovely dining area is ideal to enjoy those long lazy dinners. The lounge area has a flat-screen Smart TV for rainy days, and Wi-Fi internet access is available.
Sit on the stunning deck with a braai going and sip sundowners as you enjoy the spectacular sunset over the Mountains, or watch the kids play in the large garden. There is also a firepit to enjoy under the evening stars. This is a perfect holiday or weekend spot to really enjoy all that Southern Drakensberg has to offer.

Underberg is a small, charming farm town that is popular with tourists in the Umzimkulu River valley of KwaZulu-Natal. It is situated at the foot of the Hlogoma Peak in the foothills of the southern Drakensberg, and boasts plenty of natural beauty. Although relatively small, Underberg is surrounded by farms, so it’s always bustling with vehicles and locals stocking up on groceries and farm supplies. The town features a few grocery stores and general dealers, 2 small malls, hardware suppliers, a butchery, art and craft stores, a few restaurants, quaint pubs, clothing stores and a petrol station.

Mountain views and the breath of fresh air
It's far enough away from all the hubub to really feel like you're away from it all but also has a lot available to do if you so wish. The scenery is beautiful and the air is fresh!
Hiking, swimming, relaxing.
If you're in to adventure, then Underberg is the place to visit. There's no shortage of trails for running, hiking and mountain biking. It's close to the Drakensberg and Sani Pass.
Breath-taking beautiful! Well stocked convenience store (Elands Rest) and a few nice restaurants to have coffee. Just very cold, even in Nov.

For us its all about the hiking in the mountains.
