Reviews
The most amazing ambiance, stunning view and the perfect cottage.
Everything is provided, including extras such as wood & ice. Enjoy your morning coffee with the Springboks & afternoons lazing in the splash pool, looking out over the valley to the mountains. We had a Fantastic Braai & amazing star gazing after the sun went down. Recommend if you looking for a break to recentre and relax ( self isolate in a new spot!).
Tranquility in nature, what a peaceful and relaxing weekend we had. Private units, spacious and just perfect to get away from the busy world out there.
Pine Cottage at Welbedacht was perfectly elevated to enjoy panoramic vistas over the Tulbach valley and surrounding mountain ranges. Crisp cotton linen, a charming brochure on the conservancy wildlife and history of for example the wild horses, delightful paintings, and the divine outdoor plunge pool on the stoep were just a few of the many well thought out touches to make the stay a quality one. Idyllic walks in the fynbos and swims in the dams for our dog and ourselves made for a magical 2 nights. We needed another 2 to benefit from the farm and the opportunities for tourism that Tulbach offers though - so we'll be back!
A very comfortable stay with peaceful surrounds. Great for walking and animal sights
We had a wonderful stay at Welbedacht Game & Nature Reserve. Peaceful, quiet and in a beautiful setting, one cannot ask for more if you want to get away from the rat race for a while.
We keep on going back. Go. Experience for yourself. You will also go back. Again. And again.
The accommodation was very good, clean, comfortable and affordable. We enjoyed ourselves very much. Thank you!!

Tulbagh Reviews
Our second visit and certainly not the last. So much to do and see!
Scenery
Wine, scenery, sunset
Beautiful, historic and quaint little town. Stroll down church street and have a roosterkoek at Kole & Deeg. Highly recommend the Gin Yard at Vindoux wine farm. The Spar gets ridiculously busy on long weekends so rather come prepared unless you want to stand in line for 30 mins. The Tulbagh Nursery is awesome if you’re into gardening and plants. And take the Bain’s Kloof pass if you want a beautiful scenic route!
The quaint town, the beautiful scenery, the olive tasting.
Everything!
Wine, the history side.
We found Tulbagh to be close enough to Cape Town for a quick weekend away with family & friends.
Clean town with stunning wine farms, wine tasting and lovely restaurants.
Very picturesque with great hiking, mountain biking trails.
Lots of convenient shops in the town.
Can't wait for our next visit.
We loved our Sunday lunch at Tulbagh Hotel and Champagne tasting at Krone.
We went to Essere lodge for a weekend and loved it! Have done many wine tastings at the surrounding farms, love going there often.
