Contreberg Country House offers a stunning, comfortable self-catering stay for a total of 15 guests whilst enjoying a safe farm setting and a unique wedding and function venue to celebrate special occasions. Waking up to a fresh coffee in a beautiful farm kitchen and enjoying all the hidden corners of a big, stunning garden with old oak trees is what you can expect when staying at Contreberg Country House.
This lovely country house is situated on a working wine and sheep farm, located a mere 60 km from Cape Town, just a half an hour from Yzerfontein and just outside Darling. The endless rolling hills, vineyards, lawns, gardens, and hidden paths provide a timeless and peaceful backdrop for capturing special moments with family and friends.
This character filled Cape Dutch manor house was built in the 1800’s and consists of 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. There is 1 bedroom that is furnished with a king-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower and a bath, 1 family bedroom has 2 single beds and a double bed with an en-suite bathroom with a shower, 1 bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, 1 bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower and a 2nd family bedroom that has a double bed, a queen-size bed and a single bed with an en-suite bathroom with a shower.
The house also features a fully equipped kitchen, two living areas and a dining room. Bedroom 1 offers a fireplace and guests have access to secure parking and braai facilities overlooking the beautiful garden. The beautiful farm also features a wedding venue capacity of 100 people in the “old barn”, with a rustic feel and modern décor touches you have always fantasized about. The venue and garden are also available for your dream wedding.
