A warm and personal welcome awaits you at our charming lodge, located within the renowned Goose Valley Golf Estate in Plettenberg Bay. With breath-taking views of the Keurbooms Lagoon, the Indian Ocean, and the stunning Robberg Peninsula, your stay promises to be both relaxing and unforgettable.
Our lodge features 8 comfortable rooms, accommodating up to 26 guests. Choose from recently upgraded Garden Suites (each of 4 rooms can accommodate up to 4 pax) or stay in our charming farm style self-catering Whaling House (perfect for groups and families up to 10 pax in 4 rooms).
For larger groups, The Whaling Station can be booked as an entire lodge, both the newly refurbished Garden Suites and the Whaling House, making it the ideal choice for family reunions, group getaways, or special celebrations.
Guests can unwind in our big garden, relax in the Lapa with its large braai, or take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool. For nature lovers, private lagoon access offers the perfect spot to enjoy the stunning local scenery and long lagoon walks and water sports.

My parents and I had a wonderful time at the Whaling Station. On the edge of the lagoon, the setting is gorgeous, peaceful and intimate; perfect for the holiday of a family of three.
Peter and Gail are friendly, consummate hosts and treated us as though we were family. Many conversations were had over the fire with a glass of wine in hand that I’ll always remember fondly.
It was the best Christmas I’ve had in a long time. I’ll miss them and will be sure to return to the Whaling Station soon.
The hotel is situated on the way ahead from Plettenberg Bay. Brilliant location. Lovely views as you will see in the photographs. The rooms are huge. Can easily fit a family of 4. There breakfast may need a little upgrade in terms of variety and quality. Service is excellent.
The have an area for barbecuing which they arranged for us.

Nice location. Reduction on the golf place. Nice rooms Lovely swimming pool and very nice hospitality. Very nice view to the ocean. All kind of breakfast. You can make a nice walk along the river an see. Also you can use paddle boats.
