Welcome to Mountain Villa 238, situated within the Golf Estate in Clarens, a picturesque village at the foothills of the towering Maluti and Rooiberg Mountains. This beautiful Free State town lies close to the Golden Gate National Park and is an ideal stopover on a journey to the mountain kingdom of Lesotho.
This lovely holiday home comprises 3 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and can accommodate 6 adults and 2 children. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and features direct access to the patio. The second bedroom, which also opens onto the patio, contains a double bed and 2x small mattress beds for children 15 and younger. The third bedroom has twin single beds. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom.
The kitchen is well-equipped with a fridge-freezer, gas stove and oven, microwave, kettle, dishwasher and a breakfast counter with bar stools. The living area features a fireplace, a TV with DStv, and a cosy lounge suite. The unit also offers a braai area on the patio, outdoor seating area and on-site parking. The house is serviced every day between 9h00 and 13h00 except Sundays and Public holidays.
Clarens offers a selection of restaurants and coffee shops, Wellness Day spa, as well as art gallaries, shops and a craft beer brewery. A few popular activities include a visit to the Conservancy, hiking trails, horse riding and 4x4 adventures.

Love the mountains for a nice hike.
A variety of restaurants and shops to explore.
We love exploring Golden Gate, wondering through the shops in the Town and visiting our favourite Clarens Brewery. We enjoy supporting the smaller farm restaurants in the area. Highland Brew was a lovely new addition to this trip.
Variety
Main roads to town are recommended for daylight use only. Small town atmosphere but with a wide variety of activities and stores. The annual Titanic Challenge Trail Run was my main attraction - stunning views!
Everything....food, quality of shops...felt safe...clean...friendly people....
Love all the shops and restaurants there is. Surrounded by mountains. Perfect breakaway for winter or summer.

Tranquil, beautiful little gem in the Free State
Village atmosphere & the beautiful mountains
Small, quaint, but very lively little town with spectacular views all around. Hiking is a must and can be done on the edge of town. We stayed at Views and the hiking trail was on our back door. Beautiful, beautiful little town offering great food, culture, entertainment and beautiful hiking trails.
