The Swartberg Mountain Range boast spectacular views of the Cango Valley and is known as a World Heritage site. At the foot of the mountain range is the Cango Caves, one of the main attractions of Oudtshoorn. With over 330 sunshine days a year, Oudtshoorn is a great place for Outdoor activities. Surrounded by mountain ranges and blessed with a rich variety of bird and plant life the Klein Karoo reveals it's beauty to those who get out and make the effort to explore.

The World Famous Cango Caves
CANGO CAVES 29km from Oudtshoorn, at the head of the picturesque Swartberg Mountains I suggest you start at the Cango Caves and work your way back to Oudtshoorn. You can start at 09:00 in the morning. There are 2 options - the standard & adventure tour. If you decide to do the Adventure tour - wear some comfortable clothes and shoes, for the tour involves climbing & crawling. It is 18 degrees inside the Cave. Tour duration - about 90 minutes.

CANGO OSTRICH SHOW FARM
During your visit experience the world's largest flightless bird which lays the largest egg, has the most beautiful feathers and eyes that make you want to fall in love and hug them. You can enjoy riding the birds at your own risk, stand on their eggs, touch the birds and cuddle the chicks all in approximately 1½ hours.

Elephant feeding experience offers an opportunity to interact and feed our elephants. Get to know these gentle giants by name and their meanings from close up, feel the texture of their skin, scratch behind their ears and sit on an elephant's knee.
Stroke a cheetah CANGO WILDLIFE RANCH. The Cango Wildlife Ranch, oldest and largest cheetah contact center worldwide where you can see and feel a huge variety of animals including Africa's spotted king, the cheetah. From the slithering snake to the majestic lion, you will find all you want here.
