The Dune Camp provides a more down-to-earth, yet stylish, experience. It has a natural charm, which courts the young and more adventurous traveller. Positioned on the edge of a 250-metre-high dune, the Dune Camp sleeps 23 guests. Tents are pitched on wooden platforms and are comfortable and spacious.
Each tented room is built on wooden platforms, raised off the ground and is comfortable and spacious. Each tented stand contains a king-size bed and an indoor and outdoor shower, with a private deck and a small water-filled silo to cool off in.
The tented family suite is located a short walk away (just over the dunes) from the main camp and has 2 en-suite rooms and a children’s sala room, a lounge & spacious deck, plus outdoor bathrooms and 2 small water-filled silos.
The tented and wooden structures are perfectly designed for the desert, with canvas sides that can be opened to capture the cool breeze in summer, and rolled down in winter to keep you warm.
A generous deck allows for safe sleep-outs under the stars, imparting a rather civilized camping experience.

Namib Rand Nature Reserve, which is located just south of Sossusvlei, is synonymous with some of Africa's most breathtaking locations. The special attraction of the reserve is the diversity of the landscape. Virtually all facets of the Namib are represented here, creating a living tapestry of colours and shapes that makes it a visual utopia for artists and photographers.
A quote by well-known travel writer Amy Schoemann sums it up: 'Imagine the flamboyant magnificence of the Sossusvlei dunes, the mystique and subtle beauty of the Skeleton Coast and the legendary red sands of the Kalahari synthesized into one multifaceted desert reserve and you have NamibRand, a privately owned conservation area of over 200 000 hectares. Add to it inselbergs that look like beehives dripping with chocolate sauce, vast fields of mysterious fairy circles, an intriguing history and a species-rich flora and fauna and you might have an inkling of what makes this reserve so unusual.'
