The Elgin Valley is located in the Overberg region of the Western Cape. Elgin has been known for almost a century for its famous fresh produce – most notably apples and pears. The area is one of the Cape’s most beautiful fruit-growing areas and wine regions. This agricultural centre is home to apple and pear farmers and producers of some superb cold-region wines.
This special valley is also known for its incredible award-winning cool climate wines. You will be near wedding venues, wine-tasting rooms, hikes, bicycle tracks, the Elgin Railway Market and the Cape Canopy Tour, as well as the Elgin/Grabouw Country Club. But also to just be here to do nothing at all, is an option.

We had a wonderful time at this place and especially loved the beautiful surroundings, the cozy fireplace and their wonderful dogs. The kitchen is well equipped, the view from the windows is very nice and there’s plenty opportunities to get out and take nice walks in nature. There’s also some very good farm stores not far that serve excellent pies. All in all, 10 out of 10. We are looking forward to come back one day. Thank you for having us

Lovely space overlooking the apple orchards. If you want peace and tranquillity this is the place. Some nice walks on the farms and the company of friendly dogs. With all the little extras this is definitely a place I can highly recommend.
This is a lovely place. The view of the trees and mountains, and the indoor fire at night is such a great vibe. Paul was a fantastic host, super communicative and flexible. We loved our stay here and highly recommend it to others in future.
Paul's place offered us a fantastic weekend away! The view from the place stretching across valley was breathtaking. The large garden with friendly chickens and dogs was a pure delight. The apartment is in a perfect location to experience all Elgin Valley has to offer. We truly relaxed and recharged, and would love to return someday!

Elgin is great and filled with lots of places to visit. I would recommend popping in at the railway market and Charles Fox (it’s a bit of a distance but the champers is with it)

Close enough to get there quick and far enough to escape the 'citylife' and experience forests, home made bakes and beautiful farms...
Great weather and a great Railway market.
Not much to do. It's more so suited for people who want to unwind.
