The Mabalingwe Caravan Park is the ideal camping destination for any wildlife enthusiast, located in the malaria-free Mabalingwe Game Reserve, in the majestic Waterberg Mountains 28 km west of Bela Bela, and only a 2-hour drive from Johannesburg.

Find yourself surrounded by abundant bird life and the calls of the wild, as you light your campfire amidst the glow of the setting sun.

There are 70 paved or grassed camping stands, most shaded by the surrounding trees. All stands are equipped with standard electrical points. There are 3 ablution blocks and 2 family bathrooms. Refuse bins are provided all over the park and are cleaned out daily.

Visit our convenience shop and liquor store for all those “forgot-at-home” goodies or pop by our R&R Buffalo Bar for delicious pizzas and pub style meals after an adventurous day out with one of our guides.

There are fun outdoor activities for the whole family including a bicycle track, putt-putt, hot and cold swimming pool with slides, jungle gym, and volleyball court.

Area Information:

Mabalingwe is situated below the beautiful Waterberg Mountain range, just west of Bela Bela and is famous for its Big 5 game. A variety of activities are available, from predator feedings and game drives to horse riding.

On horseback, you have the advantage of exploring sightings where game drive vehicles cannot reach. Some wildlife will allow you to ride close by such as herds of zebra, giraffe and other antelope.

The Predator Park offers you a chance to see how amazing and powerful different predators can be. This experience is quite different from just reading or hearing about them.
