Lucca Lodge is nestled deep in the Limpopo Valley on a ridge overlooking a seasonal flood plain, offers guests 8 rooms for individuals or a group or family as well as a lovely self-catering home.
Perched on the edge of the ridge, all the rooms overlook the stunning Mopane bushveld and enjoy amazing morning views of Dongola Hill on the horizon. Air-conditioned for comfort, the rooms are furnished with king-size beds that can convert to twin beds on request, a desk, a TV and tea and coffee facilities in some. Each of the rooms has an en-suite bathroom with a shower.
The 8-sleeper house comprises 4 rooms with king-size beds that can convert to twin beds and en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove and oven and meals can be enjoyed at the dining table. The lounge offers comfortable seating and the home opens onto a patio with outdoor seating overlooking the garden. A private pool is available for guests to use.
Guests can take time to relax in the lounge and listen to some music or head over to the deck for an authentic South African braai or a quick dip in the splash pool. The lodge has a well-stocked honesty bar on-site for guests to enjoy soft drinks and juices as well as local beers and wines.
The reserve is over 12,000 hectares and is home to most of the Big 5 as well as the iconic cheetah and wild dog. Mapungubwe National Park and UNESCO World Heritage site is a short 9 km drive from gate to gate.
