Welcome to Ngata Safari Lodge. Nestled in the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve, approximately 40 km north of Pretoria, the lodge offers half-board accommodation and is ideal for a break from busy city life.
Accommodation comprises unique canvas safari tents to enhance the bushveld experience. Each tent features an en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower, and his-and-her basins. Each tent contains a coffee/tea nook, a bar fridge, and a patio with bush views.
Guests can enjoy sundowners at the bar area, take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool, or make use of the BBQ/braai area on-site. We have ice and firewood available at reception, which you can order beforehand or buy on the premises when you arrive.
We also offer planned trips with lunches and activities in the area.

Dinokeng Game Reserve is the only Big 5 reserve in Gauteng. Just 40 minutes from Pretoria and malaria-free, the reserve offers an extraordinary adventure close to the city.
The region is home to a range of game, including zebra, hyena, giraffe, buffalo, and eland, across the five provincial nature reserves of Rust de Winter, Mdlala, Mkhombo, Leeuwfontein, and Roodeplaat, and a number of conservancies. The area will ultimately be restocked with Africa's "Big Five", eagle, lion, leopard, buffalo, and rhinoceros.
Dinokeng is one of South Africa's prime birdwatching areas and is second only to Ndumo in the St Lucia area in terms of its numbers of bird species, making this a twitcher's paradise. The close proximity of water, grassland, and bushveld habitats attracts a wide variety of birds in a relatively small area. The Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve (DB5) is situated in the north-west quadrant of the Gauteng Province of South Africa. The greater Dinokeng area covers approximately 281 000 ha of rural land, incorporating Roodeplaat, Cullinan, Rayton, and open bushveld north of the Moloto Road (R573).

The Area is lovely, the local Brewery for lunch good. Rus Tevrede not an option.
The area was beautiful with animals roaming across the road.
