Keerweder is the oldest farm in Franschhoek, proclaimed in 1692 by the VOC. The first owner, Heinrik Muller from Basel, laid the foundation for this historic estate. Keerweder has maintained its legacy as a commercial farm, exporting its produce worldwide while preserving its historical roots.

Heinrik and Muller Cottages are two spacious one-bedroom units, fully equipped with a bathroom, kitchen, dining area, living room, and a terrace that boasts stunning views of plum orchards and the surrounding mountains.

Heinrik Cottage features an extra-length king/twin bed for ultimate comfort, along with a luxurious chaise lounge for relaxing moments. The bathroom offers a bathtub and a separate shower.

Muller Cottage features an elegant four-poster king bed and classic Queen Anne chairs, offering a touch of timeless charm. The bathroom offers a spacious shower.

Both cottages are equipped with silent fans, hairdryers and dressing tables with mirrors.

The kitchens in both Heinrik and Muller Cottages are fully equipped with all modern conveniences, including an air fryer oven for quick and convenient cooking. The living rooms are designed for relaxation, featuring cosy fireplaces for warmth and ambience, as well as smart TVs with Netflix and a selection of games for entertainment.

The cottages are set amidst rolling lawns and lush trees, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing picnic with stunning views of the mountains. The surrounding area offers a variety of outdoor activities, including walking, mountain biking, and even fishing.

Always a pleasure to go to a beautiful, clean well-run town. You can walk the town & find great restaurants, interesting shops & even play boules.

So many wonderful places to eat including lovely outdoor courtyards with live music; lovely bespoke shops plus some necessities like Clicks; incredible world-class wine estates with wine tasting & pairing experiences and the wine tram; lovely accommodation well-tiered; safe to walk around. For an outstanding experience and meal I would recommend La Petite Colombe on Leeu estates.

The village vibe and how safe it is. Also, everyone can walk to where they want to go, instead of getting into a car every time.
