Hooikraal Tented Camp is an eco camp nestled under the thorn trees in a picturesque “kloof” between the Cape Overberg and Garden Route. The ideal place to sit back, relax, and enjoy the sounds of nature. Situated only a few kilometres from the small town of Heidelberg on the N2, the camp offers a unique escape from the busy city.
The eco-friendly camp is located on a working farm and offers stunning views of the countryside, with the Langeberg mountains as a backdrop. Guests are welcome to bring along their well-behaved pets.
Accommodation consists of 4 safari tents, 2 dome tents, and 2 spacious 25-sleeper campsites. Each safari tent features a private bathroom and contains a kitchenette area with a 2-plate gas stove, a braai area, a wood-fired hot tub, and solar lighting.
The dome tents have access to communal bathrooms; each unit contains a small private braai area with a braai grid, utensils, and an outdoor bathtub that can be heated with a fire. The campsites have access to a shared splash pool, communal ablutions, and braai facilities.
Hooikraal Tented Camp is also situated less than a kilometre from Die Skeerhok farmstall and Hooikraal butchery, with farm dams stocked with bass, tilapia, and carp, as well as walking, hiking, and mountain biking trails to explore.
