The Wildfarm Backpackers is situated on a farm on the hills of Wilderness, above the Wilderness National Park, offering some of the best sunsets in the world. The hostel is ideal for social travellers wanting a stopover to rest while travelling through and exploring the Garden Route.
Accommodation comprises economy, standard double and twin rooms, chalets, and shared dorm rooms. These options have an en-suite bathroom or access to communal bathrooms. All linen is provided. Free Wi-Fi access is available and breakfast is included.
Our facilities include a large shared self-catering kitchen, lounge, and TV area where you can prepare meals if you'd like and relax.
Our restaurant’s wood-fired pizzas and other dinner options are there for you to order and enjoy! Relaxing with a view of the farm, our restaurant also offers a bar to pay and grab a cold beer and watch the stars of Wilderness play in the night sky while enjoying the great vibe and socialising with other guests!

The Wildfarm Backpackers is also situated 4.4 km from Wilderness Beach, 5.7 km from the Map of Africa, and 5 km from the Garden Route National Park-Wilderness Section. The property is also 26.4 km from George Airport. Please note to get to the property you will have to drive up the gravel road, up the mountain, in wilderness heights to reach your destination.

Wilderness offers a wide variety of activities for all ages with an abundance of hiking trails, canoe offerings and paragliding available, whilst being surrounded by some of the most pristine beaches our country has to offer. If you love nature and adventure, Wilderness is your playground. For daytrips, you have the option of visiting neighbouring areas including George, Sedgefield, Knysna and Plettenberg. This is definitely a home away from home.
